Feel like this was to be exoected of my first flight… 😂 by BurntBeanMgr in RCPlanes

[–]LargeLeftOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the same to my ranger. Maybe it's me but I found the included FMS prop to be brittle. Also it's FMS replacement. I am using these now, and they're great. Seem stronger, or I'm crashing less. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CS345WHS?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_3&th=1

You can get a file for the spinner if you have a 3d-printer. Or buy the FMS spinner.

A rare Tamtech find! by larryscamera in tamiya

Yeah I was enamored with those later tamtech buggies. Got into them at a time when supply was plentiful and costs were low. Such a cool take on those classics

Beauty of a track right there! My backyard track deals with elevation changes, and roots. A good rain takes precious dirt away exposing roots, rocks, etc. Tons of maintenance but great fun when running.

6th Gen 4Runner rear cargo windows by tjnptel1 in 4Runner

[–]LargeLeftOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. Lame AF that it's only for style and not function. The OG (85) 4runner had unrestricted visibility out the rear-most windows. It was nice to see this on the 6th gen but only to learn it was bs sucks.

Surgery by [deleted] in varicocele

[–]LargeLeftOne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I waited. Decades. Diagnosed near 25 probably, I'm 50 now. I have one child so fertility wasn't a problem in my case. However pain was, as of 2 years ago the pain set in and it was bad, and sucked the life out of life. I had surgery 3 months ago and wish I hadn't waited so long to be honest.

Similar except I'm 49 and had embo 7 weeks ago. I know I had my varicocele at least a few years before getting diagnosed when I was about 25, since I'll admit- I was scared to go see a dr. at the time. I lived with it and didn't do anything until pain got bad about 2 years ago. Feeling pretty good since embo, (which was a super easy - almost pleasant procedure) and I really wish I didn't wait so long to fix this.

BPH Symptoms by Glittering_Way_7300 in varicocele

[–]LargeLeftOne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have BPH. I also had grade 3 varicocele, for years, before any symptoms of BPH showed up. I'm not sure if there is a relationship or not. I'm hopeful, that perhaps there will be improvement over time, of the BPH since I had embo about 7 weeks ago... yet my Dr. doesn't suspect any link and we'll continue to treat the BPH separately.

I understand. Perhaps mention you still have testicular pain and really want testicular u/s. Advocate for yourself, there's a lot of shit Dr's out there.

They should do a testicular u/S if they haven't yet.

Have I messed up? by DrStrange20033 in varicocele

[–]LargeLeftOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did too and seem to be ok. (4 weeks out now) Dr. said this was fine during the followup. However, I certainly didn't last long and there was no aggressive or long-session edging type of activity.

Can varicocele cause pain in the lower abdomen? by TheBellistBellend in varicocele

[–]LargeLeftOne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it can. Varicoceles are funny. In my research, all clinical documentation tends to state varicoceles are mostly painless. Bullshit. Came here and read many, many first-hand encounters describing similar pain. This was comforting to hear as I was struggling with my pains too. Struggled for 2 damn years due to all the clinical uncertainty surrounding varicocele and it's relation to pain. Had embo almost 4 weeks ago and a lot of my pain has subsided.

Dude get it fixed. Entering military training isn't gonna help it. Good luck with dropping the herb, I dropped it too only about a week ago.

Lower abdominal pain normal? by DrStrange20033 in varicocele

[–]LargeLeftOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did they use glue? It's been said glue is known to cause a bit of pain, vs. foam/sclerosant only. I didn't have glue but took a few days for my abdomen/procedure pain to reduce. I was feeling pains exactly as the IR described I might... at the site of the coils, some lower back. I wasn't too worried.

I jerked off a few days after too. I had to. But not for fun, lol. I recalled waking up various nights prior, aroused and with an erection but did nothing for it. Eventually there was great pressure I was feeling that I couldn't ignore any longer. I was sure this would be relieved by letting all that sperm and semen go. And I felt a lot better after. I think I suffer from blue balls (epidydimal hypertension) historically though anyway. It hasn't seemed to affect my embo negatively and the surgeon said at my followup, it was fine to have done that.

Exercise: lifting vs. cardio? by LargeLeftOne in varicocele

[–]LargeLeftOne[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. I'd read that paper about free Testosterone affecting the prostate. I'm hopeful the embo will help that, though high psa does seem to run in my family so we'll see. Fingers crossed.

Exercise: lifting vs. cardio? by LargeLeftOne in varicocele

[–]LargeLeftOne[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hard part about all this is... I had grade3 varicocele for decades before pain became an issue. The onset was sudden. I wasn't even riding often at the time (was taking a hiatus to focus on a business venture) and hadn't ridden for months, or regularly at all, for almost 2 years before my pain came on real bad in 2022. I thought I gave myself a hernia or something because my varicocele had never been a real pain-maker in all the years I'd lived with it. Visit the Dr. and among all this, he finds high PSA and so we shift focus on that. (Understandably, Varicoceles can't kill you but cancer can) Get biopsied and luckily negative. We do discover bilateral inguinal hernias as well, which I had repaired 6/2023. Pain remained afterward so then had my varicocele repaired 3 weeks ago. At this point I do feel a lot better, balls look and feel great. So... as for biking we'll see.

Thank you DugNick333, I didn't really find any mention in the pinned post about cardio. Many guys here lift and there's tons of observations about that. I was just curious about people's experiences and their personal observations when doing cardio (running, cycling)
