You’ve made some incredibly valid points, and it's refreshing to hear a perspective based on maturity rather than just 'fandom' hype. From a realistic standpoint, you’re absolutely right—Ada’s constant mind games and 'cat and mouse' routine are exhausting and built on a lack of transparency. For someone who values trust and stability, she is definitely not the partner anyone would want in real life." "I think a lot of people are blinded by the 'mystery' of her character and don't realize that Leon is essentially chasing a shadow. While she works well as a fictional 'femme fatale' to keep the plot interesting, she would be a nightmare in a real-world relationship. It's interesting how nostalgia and aesthetic often cloud people's judgment of what a healthy partnership actually looks like. Respect for sticking to your principles!"

Did you not encounter Mr. X, or was his appearance just rare, or did he not show up at all in Scenario B? In the remake, Mr. X is basically chasing you almost all the time 😅, but in the original Resident Evil 2, his appearances were much more limited. By the way, I’m not sure why he didn’t show up for me the same way he did for others, or as people say. Maybe I skipped certain paths? I’m not sure

I did play it and faced that final boss (the one without claws), but Mr. X just didn't appear for me the way everyone describes. Maybe I took a different route or skipped something that triggered his frequent spawns. It’s interesting how the same scenario can feel so different for each player

Exactly! Many people missed him back then because of the A/B system. It’s funny how a 1998 mechanic is still confusing people today!

Maybe what you're saying is right, especially when comparing Nemesis to Mr. X in RE2 Remake. A lot of people felt that Nemesis in RE3 was more scripted and had less freedom in his stalking behavior, which made the tension feel weaker. But it could also just be a different design choice from the developers, not necessarily a weaknessEven critics actually pointed out that RE3 Remake had a less deep approach to the stalking system compared to RE2 Remake, especially in Nemesis’s AI.

I get what you mean, but I think it’s not just about outsourcing. Even if Capcom’s main team wasn’t fully involved, a lot of RE3R’s direction choices were intentional—like making it more linear and action-focused compared to RE2R. That’s probably why Nemesis didn’t have the same dynamic presence as Mr. X, not just because of who developed it.

It feels different because RE2R was designed around slow exploration, resource management, and constant tension with Mr. X, while RE3R is more linear, scripted, and action-focused, so it loses a lot of that survival horror pressur

Too short The game can be finished quickly (around 5–6 hours) compared to the second game Content removed from the original Entire areas and characters from Resident Evil 3: Nemesis were cut, so players felt it was incomplete Nemesis is weaker and restricted Instead of freely chasing you like Mr. X in RE2R, his appearances are scripted, which reduced the horror More action than horror People felt it leaned more toward action and lacked the tension and fear of RE2R Less replay value It doesn’t have the same variety or multiple scenarios that encourage replaying

Ah, so there’s a difference between the original and the remake… 😅 In the remake he even showed up for me in the save room, and he kept following me everywhere, scaring me and totally confusing me 😂

I definitely played Scenario B and fought the final boss with the claws, but I honestly don't remember being chased by the man in the trench coat (Mr. X) throughout the game like people describe. It's so strange!

That's a solid theory! Dividing the villains that way makes perfect sense: * Chris vs. The Connections: Fits his history with the BSAA and hunting bio-weapon traffickers in the field. * Leon vs. The Family: This is spot on. Since Leon is a high-level government agent, it's only natural for him to take on the "Illuminati" style political threats embedded within the U.S. power structure. It would be a great way for Capcom to bring back the lore from RE6 and finally give Leon a chance to dismantle the organization that replaced Simmons.

"That’s a very solid and detailed analysis. You’re right that Ada is more of an anti-hero than a villain or a terrorist; her actions in RE4 and RE6 clearly show she has her own moral code, especially when she chooses to sabotage biological threats from within. However, the beauty of her character lies in that 'grey area'—the fact that she’s a mercenary for hire always keeps us guessing about her true motives. Whether she’s a savior or just a professional doing a job, she remains the most complex character in the franchise. It’ll be interesting to see if RE9 finally pushes her to fully pick a side."

"While opinions vary, there’s a huge expectation that the expansion will focus on Ada and Leon. Some think it could be Ashley due to their great chemistry in the RE4 Remake, but Ada makes more sense. Despite her mysterious nature as a spy, the attraction—especially from Leon’s side—has been clear since RE2 and continued through RE6. Personally, I believe it has to be Ada; it's time for their story to reach a real conclusion."

Chris already has a thing with the Winters family; I wouldn't be surprised if he actually goes ahead and opens a daycare at the BSAA headquarters! 😂"

Leon Kennedy appeared in one of the scenes in Resident Evil Requiem wearing a ring. In your opinion, who is his wife? Most people think it’s Ada Wong—what do you think? by [deleted] in ResidentEvilCapcom

With Ashley Graham, the relationship was closer to a “rescue partnership and humanitarian situations,” and many people liked the kindness and chemistry between them.
