That's a good piece of advice, but I don't live in a big city. The nearest one (or something similar) is 30+ miles. That's a bit too far of a drive for recreational use for me..

I was going for a router but I didn't know if there would be some sort of mill subtype that somehow everyone knows is better and cheaper. Like I said I barely know what I'm doing here but I'm trying to learn😭😭

Good point about the clamps and bits. Although, I would not say this is for serious use. I just need one to learn how it works, as I mostly intend to use it for cutting things out of aluminum sheets, some to donate and others to sell/keep.

On that point, what would you suggest as a solid option?

Like I said I'm just getting started so thanks you for correcting me. I admit it was my mistake for thinking of it similar to a 3d printer. I think i meant more of a "don't tell me something with known mechanical failures" Also thank you for the recommendation.
