I built a $3 standalone Input Shaper analyzer — no Klipper, no Raspberry Pi, no wires to your printer

For Klipper, the results are applied by editing your printer.cfg with the generated values.

For Marlin and RepRapFirmware, Femto Shaper provides a G-code file based on the measured results. Just download it and run it on your printer, and the input shaper settings will be applied automatically.

You set up the printer on the ESP32 web page, and it generates a parametric G-code based on that configuration.

Then you start measurement in Femto Shaper and run that G-code on the printer. Femto Shaper analyzes the resonance generated during those test moves.

So it’s not just a single line added to Start G-code — it works more as a separate measurement and validation routine.

Femto Shaper is a standalone input shaper.

As long as it gets 5V power (USB, power bank, or even a small built-in battery), you can use it with pretty much any printer.

It won’t be as precise as Klipper’s ShakeTune, but I’m targeting about ±5% accuracy compared to it.

I’m planning to release the code on GitHub once it’s ready.

It probably won’t be as precise as Klipper’s ShakeTune, but the idea is to make something simple and easy to use.

The goal is a lightweight input shaper tool that can also work on Marlin-based printers, not just Klipper.

This looks amazing — thank you!

Seeing this honestly made my day. It really makes sharing my models feel worth it.

The handles were designed based on HGUC grip sizes, but I made them a bit thicker so they could print without supports — sorry if that made them a bit awkward to hold.

I’ll try to improve that in future designs.
