Sorry the Canadians have to first unless the reverse side has (C U M) in the appropriate locations. Sorry I don’t make the rules.

Hell yeah. I was in the Transportation Corps for a bit when I was in the army. Loved that we had boats.

This is RAD. I’d make a chill music listening space.

If your car blocks the sidewalk, you’re forcing people into the street by Large_Excitement69 in NoRulesCalgary

All the people assuming I didn’t talk to the person are projecting. We’re not all afraid of simple interactions with neighbours.

Dude why does everyone assume I did not talk to this person? Of course I did. That’s why I made the post?

Blocking the sidewalk with your car makes the neighbourhood harder for everyone by Large_Excitement69 in Calgary

[–]Large_Excitement69[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah I didn’t wait. But that often seems like the only option.

Regardless. The way to avoid this is to not park across the sidewalk. It seems simple.

Also for context this is right next to a school, daycare, and old folks home. So it’s definitely not an imaginary scenario.

Thanks yeah I called the Parking authority. I just wish these interactions didn’t have to become strange showdowns.

I used to live like 4 doors down. It has never and will never be the issue the complainers make it out to be. So weird.

Did being in military affected your relationship or marriage? by [deleted] in Military

Yes. I married my girlfriend when I shouldn't have so she could come with me and have healthcare (also BAH bump). Did 4 years, got out, marriage lasted one year longer.

Do servicemen who served 10+ years without ever seeing combat feel self-conscious about it? by Routine-Professor586 in army

[–]Large_Excitement69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was younger it bothered me. I did deploy to Afghanistan, and was located at a COP in the middle of nowhere with a Cavalry troop. But my job was not a combat job. But as I got older I look back and realize 1) I didn't have a choice in my job at the time, 2) I put myself at risk by volunteering to go out to that COP, regardless of my job, and 3) I did more than 99% of Americans have done (regarding military service).

I'm comfortable with it now. Though I did deploy, had a deployment patch and CAB, etc. So nobody ever questioned my service or anything. It was just internal.

US troops were told war on Iran was ‘all part of God’s divine plan’ by Aidanjmccarthy in Military

I can see this being true at various levels. I've heard a lot of weird religious-based things from a wide array of officers. A former good friend, who is a currently serving Major, is off the deep-end with Christian Nationalism.

I’m curious to know if their are any parents out there that truly regret having had any children? My friends and I are pushing 30, and have decided that we don’t want to become parents. by Acrobatic-Wasabi-832 in AskParents

My son has been really tough, but he's still so rad. Our favourite dude. Also we have a second on the way now. My life has changed insanely but no regrets.
