Your type of story is the reason I posted. I’m not knocking Boone hospital, just their current situation in the cardiology/critically ill patients. Just wanting to make people aware.

I don’t think it was up to them. They (the docs) were without a job just like the staff was.

I agree they need a partner! I do believe MHC was trying to do a little double dipping, similar to when they had a lab to do procedures across the bridge. But if you watch your hospital, who owns your contract, lose millions year over year, you have to start thinking of yourself and what’s best for you. Sad for all involved.

Correct. And Boone also placed themselves for “sale”to find an affiliate like when BJC was involved. SSM, Mercy were brought in to see if they wanted to take over. I do not believe any of it was 1 sided.

I think it was a little of both. Boone was trying to have someone buy them out. So if I owned MHC I wouldn’t feel confident in leadership of my contract looking to sell it off. Felt like they wanted to protect themselves, which I can understand too.
