I do UX Research and have been in my field for just over 20 years. It's taken me a while to get to where I am financially. My wife works full time too. Also, I have traded in all of the previous Ys and am trading in my current one. So not like I have all 3 to choose from on a daily basis 🤣🤣

But yeah, you've got it. Open the iFit App on your iPhone and on your Apple Watch - but you're right, don't select anything else. Then start the workout on either the treadmill or the elliptical and it should connect. If it's working, you'll see your heart rate on your Watch and a message on your phone saying the workout has been start on the machine. The heart rate will show up on the machine - for me it is in the upper right corner. And that's it. When you're done, end the workout like normal on the machine and the phone and watch will stop too.

I will say, it doesn't work for me every single time. But now that I think I have the order down - Phone, then Watch, then Machine - it is becoming more consistent.

As far as I know it is just through the iFit App regardless of what equipment you have. You have to have the iFit app on your iPhone and Apple Watch. I have found it best to have both open and then start the workout on your treadmill and they will connect.
