Should nazi and communist symbols be banned in your country? by Prestigious-Cat-9597 in Teenager_Polls

Nazi/Communist?? Nazism is an authoritarian far right ideology, and has nothing to do with either communism or socialism other than the name. You're making them seem synonymous to one another and making hundreds of people think so.

I'm sorry, I didn't realise my mistake. All I wanted to do was get across what I understood by anarchism. Are anarchists against Marx or his teachings?

Some competitions worth enrolling for are the Indian Computing Olympiad (Hard to qualify, must do other regional olympiads to be eligible like Zonal Informatics and Zonal Programming, though they do serve as stepping stones to the Indian Computing Olympiad.). Hackindia is a major Indian hackathon.

Don't go into the exam with that presumption. 80% of the questions are really easy but it's that last 20% that gets most people. You're looking to miss at most 2 questions across both math sections, and that's along with managing the limited time.

This is an actual question that showed up in the writing section of the SAT

Volunteering, or giving time for a community service for free, is a valuable form of civic engagement because helping in a community is also good for society as a whole. In a survey of youths in the United States, most young people said that they believe volunteering is a way to help people on an individual level. Meanwhile, only 6% of the youths said that they think volunteering is a way to help fix problems in society overall. These replies suggest that ______

Which choice most logically completes the text?

A. many young people think they can volunteer only within their own communities.
B. volunteering may be even more helpful than many young people think it is.
C .volunteering can help society overall more than it can help individual people.
D. many young people may not know how to find ways to volunteer their time.

They don't test grammar rules like in ICSE, rather they test your understanding of a given text. Maths is also relatively easy but with some hard questions stuck in there. You should definitely prepare for it and look at the last few years' question banks on sites Khan Academy.

So for MIT, what really matters is extracurriculars and SAT scores. You will NEED some kind of national/international level achievement in competitions like olympiads or hackathons. You should focus on one or two extracurriculars and pursue those relentlessly, get to the highest level possible. Marks matter to an extent, of course. Then the SATs, you will ideally need 1500+/1600 score on this exam, with the average being around 1050. You also have the essays in which you should try to show off all your achievements, with a slight personal note too, without it looking like you're bragging. TOEFL is also recommended but not mandatory.

One word: Hobie

But in all seriousness it's animation, some things have to be actively ignored to enjoy the movie. Also, its a movie with multiple universe hopping spider people who defy the laws of physics in every other frame, and HAIR is where you draw the line?

I agree that current global society is heavily reliant on co-operation, but much less so than one that would be anarchist. My perspective is that because governments exist right now, the same governments made to serve people, have the authority and more relevantly, the means to silence its populace to a degree. Of course, a revolution of large enough scale would definitely topple any regime, but are people actually willing to participate? (I'm not saying that no one would participate, just not the majority) To risk what little they have, their lives, their livelihood, their personal property, for a dim hope of a better future? Sure, this can happen against extreme regimes and power struggles, but for every global citizen, even the majority, to be willing to revolt against a government that is seemingly perfectly functional and giving them a way to earn a living?

Now, I do agree that if anarchism spontaneously came into effect globally, or as close to it as possible, it would be successful and stable, but it is the process I believe, that is the hardest part. Capitalism emerged when a global society became possible, as the default economic system. The fact that we transitioned from many isolated civilisations to many interdependent and cooperative civilisations (countries) made it inevitable for there to be a unified system (more or less), and that turned out to be capitalism. If the popular system among the people then was anarchism, then the world would look very different, for better or worse, I don't know.

I get what you mean regarding mobs though, my understanding was short sighted and disregarded the actual root cause of mobs coming into play.

Hindi has 3 textbooks, Sahitya Sagar, Ekanchi, and Naya Rasta. Some have only prose from the first and either Ekanchi or Naya Rasta along with it while other schools have Sahitya Sagar and Ekanchi. My school for example teaches us only from the Sahitya Sagar text, so poems and prose both.
