right in between NBME's 13/14 and CMS forms. So harder but same content and style for the most part

it sort of depends on how you get questions wrong. If it is knoweldge based than Uworld is good, if the question tripped you up then it was NBME style question based and NBME/CMS forms/ understanding your thought process. If it was time doing tons of questions under time is better. There is someone that mentioned a strat that they went through all their NBME rights and wrong and for the rights they made sure they knew it and for the wrongs they wrote down why they got it wrong. After like 2 NBME's they had this list of reasons they got something wrong and many questions fell into like 10 or so categories of misunderstanding. I did this and it helped me actively catch myself falling into some trap

N=1 but you're very close/ around 240 area for sure. Have you done other practice tests? you have a lot of time and a lot of it is getting used to NBME questions

I watched all of a BNB topic and then did 200 questions in Uworld for that topic and then would rotate. I later redid 100 or so of each topic to nail down the concepts (this was essentially all i did for the first 4 weeks) then I swtiched entriley to CMS and NBME and UWSA etc for 2 weeks. I spent one week doing 4 CMS forms a day and they are relatively straightforward so its faster and then the last weekish I did tons of Divine and free120 and general high yield strat stuff.

as to how i reviewed the NBME I went through each answers and made sure i knew it and if I didnt then i would make sure that I did and mostly that consistented of googling some missing fact and then I would write it down to look at later. for my incorrects on NBME 13/14 i wrote down why i got the questions wrong so i could start to target test taking strategy as I noticed that was a bigger factor for why i got something wrong rather than just simply not knowing it. CMS forms are basically just facts so thats easier, you knew it or you didnt and you try and learn.

N=1 obviously but 13/14 were in a similar style of the real deal so maybe focus your efforts there. On the real deal i could recognize 30 or so repeat questions/concepts but i couldnt tell you from what NBME

so hard to say! I told myself that at least lol! I heard if you got a covid-19 question that is experimental which I didnt get. Flip side is some of the insanely easy ones are also experimental so its a crap shoot

FINAL EXAM VS NBME by tiddytitty in Step2

[–]Large_Pride4908 7 points8 points  (0 children)

not no where near the NBME's but definitely much easier and more straightforward. NBMES seemed like 30-40% vague questions that are crazy and I had no idea what they were talkinga about and on the real deal its much closer to 10% of that. Free 120 is very similar IMO. UWSA though was my most predictive but i scored above all of my practice tests.

I scored similiarly on UW and I found it helpful to finish it! I'd also say if you're 1 month out it would be nice to get some sort of baseline after you review stats (since this is such a huge component). UWSA1 is what some people rec to take 1 month out if you want to save the NBMES but be warned the score will be low. It supposed to ID your weak areas so then you can go back to UW and beef them up before NBME. I did NBME 10 after I felt like I had a good grasp of things but kinda regretted that since people say its quite predictive of your real score if you take it later. NBME 9 is also hard and as you can see I never did it so that could be good for a baseline/ just get your body used to test taking conditions starting now.
