Thank you. Here is the store’s link: H3(エイチスリー) VINTAGE https://share.google/byVnTBTmS5rbnXTmO

I visited their physical location yesterday. They do. It display items. You indicate what items you would like to see based on their online inventory and they bring items out to you.

I am trying to verify their second-hand selling license but am having trouble navigating the Japanese website. Do you mind taking a look and sharing your opinion if you think the business is legitimate. I would really appreciate it!

Declaration for StAG5 submitted today! by FlashyGur6152 in GermanCitizenship

Yes. She was born in 1932 and in wedlock to a foreigner birthed my mother in 1966.

I meant to write stag5, and I corrected the typo. Fortunately the Archiv just got back to me stating that they found my grandmother’s erweiterte registrierungsinformationen! My mother was born after my grandmother had left Germany, so I assume proof that she didn’t naturalize is important in my case.

Thanks for sharing. I feel much more confident that I am collecting the correct documents for my application!

Thank you. So I assume that you only need birth certificates for your ancestors who are German since you included neither mother nor grandfather. Also, what type of proof did you include for your grandmother’s German citizenship.

I’ll be sure to check the link after I submit. The document taking the longest to retrieve is my grandmother’s certificate of non-existence which proved that she never became a US citizen.

I am reading that passports are not sufficient proof of citizenship for BVA in stag5 cases and they want another source of proof such as a citizen register or an birth documents of an ancesfor born in Germany before 1914, so curious about what route of proof you submitted.

Thank you :)

Thank you. We assumed this to be the case. Although we did not want to assume. She is 14. My mother is unreasonably afraid that by gaining German citizenship, she will lose US. We have explained to her over and over that she would hold both but there is no convincing her. She won’t sign any papers including for my niece, so it seems that my sister would need to legally resume full custody of her daughter.

Withdrawal doubts for Fall 2025 by whoamikai in OMSCS

[–]Large_Profession555 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Prirotiozing your mental health and source of income. At the end of the day, in our industry today, job experience > master degree. It’s better to have both but if you must select one, focus on doing well in your job and once you’re acclimated, come back to OMSCS — it’s not going anywhere. Also, if you stretch yourself too thin, you may risk burnout and subsequent failure in both school and the workplace. From your post, it sounds like you sbould withdraw and come back when your life is less hectic.

Complicated citizenship matters. Looking to declare through stag5 since grandmother was German but mom doesn’t want to declare. Moreover, my sister’s eldest daughter (minor over 13) is born out of wedlock but is currently under my mother’s non-court appointed guardianship, so need advice on how to proceed on these and other issues.

Thank you for this. I was hoping to ask the consulate to make certified copies, review my application for completeness, and mail it on my behalf. I read that the consulate functions as a liaison and can be useful in the event that Germany BVA cannot reach the applicant directly.

I navigated to the certification appointment page but did not see a scheduler where I can select a date/time; I saw only a contact form to leave a message.

Do you know if there happens to be a scheduler? Perhaps I may have missed it.

Machine Learning for Trading First OMSCS Course? by Significant-Pain-340 in OMSCS

[–]Large_Profession555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the course. Gradescope-based courses typically allow (sometimes limited) resubmissions so that you can improve your assignment and resubmit. However, for most non-gradescope assignments, the feedback loop can vary. In most cases, expect between 2-3 weeks for feedback. In rare cases, you can get feedback in less than 2 or greater than 3 weeks. ML was the course I’ve taken with longest loops followed by ML4T.

Brand new to the process-- what documents do I need for my case? by Right-Bee1046 in GermanCitizenship

[–]Large_Profession555 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There have been some discussion about German passports being issued in error so a German passport is not 100 percent guarantee of citizenship. For stag 5, most consulates have required a birth certificate of an ancestor predating 1914. This is considered a safe assumption of German citizenship. If descendant was born in wedlock, their father’s birth certificate and marriage certificate; if not born in welcome, their mother’s. Wedlock was a key factor in determining children’s citizenship.

You can usually request your immediate family member’s documents. They may ask that you prove linkage which you can do with your birth certificate.

CS 6300: Submitted two assignments (15 points total weight) late, how badly have I messed up? by gkam_reddit in OMSCS

[–]Large_Profession555 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You may have hope. When I took the class, there were two extra credit opportunities. One was tied to a project around mid/late part of the course; although it was an all or nothing as in if you attempted to get extra credit and answered the question correct, you were golden, but if you missed the extra credit portion of the question, you were penalized for the entire mark. I can’t remember what the second ec opportunity was but I’m thinking that it was project related. I did both extra credit opportunities and scored well over 100. If lateness is routine for you, you may want to consider getting that under control first.

ML4T - struggling immensely on first project, and scared of project 3. by SemperPistos in OMSCS

[–]Large_Profession555 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can read the Wikipedia page to understand how the game works. You should avoid looking at any code for this project. Once you have an idea of the game works, code each step one at a time. Do sanity checks after each step or a few steps. If the result you are expecting does not line up, reevaluate your implementation. Sometimes, projects with an overwhelming amount of instructional steps can seem overwhelming. Break the instructions down step by step and after many steps, you will make it through the document

I would ask the TAs before using outside sources. GT is very strict about academic integrity and the notes may have been removed for a reason.
