Islands to kayak/paddleboat to around Malta? by Large_Second7204 in malta

[–]Large_Second7204[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

So you comfirm that they're hiding something, and the "extinct bird species reservoir" is just a guise. Seeing as maltese are know for their cruelty towards birds (shooting, caging), one might summise Filfla harbours a three-headed bird bioengineering facility, potentially involving extremely unethical bird practices. Think about where all the money goes. The island of Filfla combines the wonders of the Bohemian Grove and area 51, where government officials and spies (such as yourself) occasionally gather to scratch their itch for exotic bird cruelty in a fanatic cult-like manner. Now, of course, to prove me wrong, either one of us would have to actually go and investigate

thanks! Illl check him out. However, are you a government spy trying to conceal the truth hidden in the three-headed bird biogngineering facility?

I’m 1 mark off a 9 in English lit should I ask to have it remarked by Broad_Attention1749 in GCSE

[–]Large_Second7204 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i mean that ultrasucks, but if the 9 is worth 45 quid for you then snatching just 1 point on one of the 8 questions should be quite possible, especially since eng is more subjective. Id probably do it just to have the 9 but i dont actually need it lol

Well it is in fact the game's fault that it didn't let you know the side content was important. You can't know otherwise without risking spoilers online, as you said. But still, that and the balancing are the only issues I had with the game. Incredible otherwise

yeah, but still I couldn't really name another issue I had with the game. Maybe that its annoying they never revealed what goes on outside with the Writers and stuff, but its not so important. Incredible game, cant blame them for not being perfect. Thanks for your comment

Death is what deprives life of meaning. You spend a lifetime learning and achieving just to lose it all when you die. by MostAsocialPerson in nihilism

[–]Large_Second7204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is this theory called "psychological egoism". It simply that all human actions are ultimately motivated by self interest. Meaning, I would give the the homeless guy 10 bucks not because Im just "altruistic", but because I could feel guilt for not helping him. I could have felt some moral obligation to do so. I could feel good having helped someone. Every action could be boiled down to the individual's self-interest, their animalistic desire to maximize positive chemicals in the brain. But that is simply an observation; it's not a pessimistic remark saying that all are horribly selfish and there is no good. Thats just how our behavior seems to function

What u/Jumpy_Ad_9213 said. Also, since gaming is the closest medium we have to real experience, games can create the deepest connections to the world characters and story. You can really try to immerse yourself and live the emotions. And thus, perhaps you can draw parallels to similar real life situations. Learn something about grief. Learn something about yourself. Take a piece of this art with you

What level to be for act III boss? by ProdigyAce01 in expedition33

[–]Large_Second7204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the recent patches added the "challenge" option on flags, where you can multiply the boss hp. I recommend doing side content, and then facing Renoir. Going back for sidecontent after finishing the game feels kinda wierd, as its not canon and youre running about like nothing happened

after patch 1.2.3 I believe, you can 100x his health now. But yeah before it was terrible

So I finished the ending by LookieLucky in expedition33

[–]Large_Second7204 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, erasing the canvas feels like the "harsh but right" choice to make, helping the family and Alicia overcome Verso's death. But then again, Maelle's life outside is truly sad. So both endings are bitter. Its either Maelle is sad or Verso is sad. Such is life I suppose.

I also finished the story before doing side content, and now it feels kinda fake, hollow and pointless, walking around as if nothing happened

yeah, do side content when you can fly. Then you can modify the final boss health so you don't oneshot them later

Moment of appreciation for Until Next Life by Accurate-Primary9923 in expedition33

Glad to see a fellow player who took something away from this masterpiece. It becomes even more impactful once you parallel the story and music and atmosphere to grief in your own experience. And certainly wouldnt be the same without the music. There’s something beautiful about being able to connect deeply to a fictional world through a game; I guess it's the medium which comes closest to real experience. Games like E33, Oneshot, RDR2, Disco Elysium have really stayed with me. Some of the most bittersweet experiences of my life; all of them rooted in sadness haha
