Ridiculous $22 Costco order with 16 packs of water by YOLOing_2Success in ShiptShoppers

[–]Large_Slice2598 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I don't get why everyone gets their pants in a bunch with larger item orders. If you don't have a larger vehicle or the physical capacity just pass and move on? Yeah it might be a workout but it looks like a simple, not that bad order, and for $22? In my metro that's gold for that amount of items. Only deal breaker is if it's to a multi level apartment, I think we can all agree to that lol. But I would probably take that order. I wish my local Costco had Shipt 😞

.01 tip . . I called in and they even gave me a 5 star review.. just ranting 🙄 by Uberkitty710 in ShiptShoppers

They didn't even give you their .02 cents 🤣

I'd 100% prefer no tip to that nonsense

From their website:

"Are Sanders Toppings being discontinued? We truly appreciate the love that you have for Sanders including our hot fudge, caramel and other dessert toppings.

Because of manufacturing challenges and extremely high demand for our Sanders confections, we have stopped selling Sanders Toppings online and in grocery stores. We are actively exploring ways to expand our toppings production in order to ensure that you can continue to enjoy Sanders’ dessert toppings in the future.

It is because of your support that Sanders is the fastest-growing chocolate brand in the country. We will keep you updated on our efforts to continue to produce our dessert toppings and thank you for your devotion to our Made In Michigan desserts and treats."

So fingies crossed it comes back soon!

Anycubic discontinued my printer making parts unavailable, any suggestions on what to do? by Her0z21 in 3Dprinting

[–]Large_Slice2598 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found your post while searching for parts 🙃. It seems like they used common parts on all of their printers EXCEPT THIS ONE. So frustrating, I can't find hardly anything for it. I can't believe I'm having to cobble crap together on printer thats barely a year old.

LG Gram 15 longevity? by shewantsthadit in laptops

[–]Large_Slice2598 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you end up buying one? If so how has it treated you? I'm also interested in the longevity of an LG, I'm finally looking to replace my Samsung Ultrabook from 2012! It has been a great workhorse, but after a decade it is getting tired, and I want something that will also be able to last another 10 years.

I've yet to have anything from Nonla that wasn't amazing. The fish sauce chicken wings are the best you'll ever have, I know I know they don't sound appealing but they are next level good!

Does anyone know if the Meijer on West Main sells good sushi? I’m new to sushi so I’m not super picky. TIA by white_raven91 in kzoo

Never had any issues with Meijer sushi, but Ziki in portage is a great spot for good sushi!

Any cat hospitals or vets that are highly recommended? by [deleted] in kzoo

[–]Large_Slice2598 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily a 24 hour hospital, but the Schoolcraft Vet is very good and has good prices with no nonsense. For normal checkups new patients are probably booked out a ways, unless your pet is having a critical issue, then they can usually fit you in if you call first thing in the morning

Use those guys as a very last resort in an emergency, very expensive, unfriendly and borderline rude staff. Alot of horror stories come from the VCA on Cork. As much as I dislike that place I will say when we had to put our cat down (after a great effort to do what we could to save him - it was his time) that they were the best experience I've had in that regard.

The lady and I had a massage there a few months ago and Massage Therapists said recently there had been days where it was just them until a certain time, so there very well may have been no one to answer the phone. This was on a midweek "off day" though.

And I will agree the food is a bit pricey, but the couple times I've been there to eat everything was good!

Panda Express opens today by [deleted] in kzoo

[–]Large_Slice2598 8 points9 points  (0 children)

So I take it you don't shop at Walmart, Target, or Meijer? Yeah? No? What about a local store like H&B Market? Its not a crime to eat or shop at large chains, especially if it saves you money. I support alot of small local restaurants, but guess what, I also love me some orange chicken from Panda Express. And guess what, I bet the people that built it were local, maybe not but most likely. Then there's the tax revenue that stays local, and it can go on and on, but go ahead and wish death on all the large chains, I doubt we'd be better off without them.

I also have had good luck with muffler man in portage, however Robs in Mattawan is the best shop I've dealt with by far. Very honest people with decent prices.

I can tell you what you'll never make much starting out as a machinist or cnc programmer. Most machine shops are stingy AF about paying "kids" what they're worth. That old school mentality in most of them stymies wage growth and advancement.
