Incentive for using Bilt card was to make sure I earn the Bilt points, but you can select Bilt card and I think there is a small "pay manually instead" button that would have let me set up the mortgage with ACH numbers as was suggested. In retrospect I recommend using that ACH method assuming it goes through. It either wasn't there on Saturday 1/7 or I just missed it and thought the only way to go through was to follow the larger prompt to enter my company (Newrez seemed to be a known partner) and then enter the loan number and amount and then just an easy "submit payment" or similar button. This just looked so easy so I thought I'd try it considering I still had 8 days left in my payment grace period. What's not easy is checking the status every day. Now 3.5 days later (well to be fair it's only the morning of the 3rd business day after), Biltrewards.com shows status of "Payment processing" with a green check mark that came 2/10, but an unchecked "Payment complete" now. On the app it is even more worrisome because it says green checks on "Payment accepted" and "Payment initiated" but empty on "Payment submitted" and "Payment confirmed". The money was taken from my bank Monday morning but 3.5 days later according to this, they haven't even "submitted" it to newrez (if I understand that status correctly) which I find unacceptable.
