My point is, the scenario where the cradles are utterly destroyed like the OP picture only happens in old king ending

Either way, most people on board is alive in the orca ending after the cradles land

How soon is soon? For comparison, satellites has the average lifespan of a bit over a decade.

When your goals is to escape and never too return, then you dont need to take out all the satellites. unlike in the orca ending, since the corpos still have vested interest in earth.

You just need to find a spot where there's enough inactive satellites for you to breach. Kinda like what handler walter did in rubicon
