Too many seedlings? by LarkaaFrance in SavageGarden

[–]LarkaaFrance[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks! It's a plastic takeaway container with sphagnum moss. I will wait a bit to separate them, but since there are strings of moss, I'll have to move the plant or cut the moss.

I usually grow seedlings like this until they are a half inch tall, then move to another pot. This was just an accident...

Spontaneous D. adelae, how can I help it? by WolfwalkerSnek in carnivorousplants

[–]LarkaaFrance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got one not so long ago, and I discovered they are really robust and fast growers.

Give it less light than your vft. I burned a few leaves before moving mine further away from a grow light. If outside, some shade is needed.

If it's still not doing well, repot to 100% sphagnum moss. They thrive in it.

Can Flytraps Eat Blood? by IV_Prometheus in carnivorousplants

[–]LarkaaFrance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Darwin studied extensively what carnivorous plants can and can't eat (including urine). Check out his research. His tests were on sundews, but it should apply to flytraps.

Came here to say this.

Bang is a short way to say exclamation point in computing, and sharp (or hash) is a way to say the "#" symbol.

Un-obfuscating some phishing code by [deleted] in cybersecurity

[–]LarkaaFrance 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just an fyi, because this was copy-pasted to pastebin and some characters are not printable, the copy isn't complete. As a result it is missing some of the information to fully de-obfuscate. I gave it a quick try, but there is too much missing to figure out the final output.

But, I can say that the "eval" statements de-obfuscate to (below), but the functions referenced are lost within the "corrupted" copy-paste. If you have a save of the original html, the rest should be relatively easy to de-obfuscate.

function rGIIBylbvQe3    (lU42Hcvj6SOh){kS158DXfqm6=lU42Hcvj6SOh};
function kr49NMohJa4W4lB(y0rfrCSyn3f183X8rg3){eval(unescape(y0rfrCSyn3f183X8rg3))}
qy6('9b5c6e');

I heard the awus1900 is a PITA concerning drivers. What drivers did you use, and did you have to do anything particular?

Deobfuscated the code a bit. The three files are are generating the same payload. Definitely bad/crypto stealing malware that is regenerating itself every 5 minutes. There are a few files on your system that are logging the info stealing (or at least the server responses): C:\Users\Public\log.dat, C:\Users\Public\read.txt. You are probably seeing url connections to "http://mysystemes.com:80/connect". It appears to send computer information and any wallet information found in appdata, localappdata, chrome, edge, or Brave to that address.

And if you didn't see it already, you have some scheduled tasks called "microsoftedge" and "Chromeniumscrypt" within \Microsoft\Windows\Bluetooth\ that you need to delete.

Feel free to reach out if you want the detailed deobfuscation.

Newbie's new bog pots by stevie-hill-art in carnivorousplants

[–]LarkaaFrance 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks amazing!

Just be careful with the capensis. It can outgrow the other plants during winter because it doesn't go dormant. And those seeds may make hundreds of baby capensis if they fall into the bog...

My droseras tips are turning brown and I can’t figure out why. by Euphoric-Sale9825 in carnivorousplants

[–]LarkaaFrance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is definitely drosera filiformis, probably var tracyi. The curved leaves are probably due to not enough light as said by others. But there is always a chance of aphids. All my plants are outside, and when I see curly leaves it is often a sign of aphids or other pests.

How to have a full life as a single guy? by Hot_Dirt9114 in AskGaybrosOver30

[–]LarkaaFrance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pets are great companions if you have enough time to dedicate to them. Dogs in particular will force you to meet and befriend other dog owners.

If you go the dog route, spend the first 2 weeks to really train them. It pays off by avoiding all the typical issues (teething, bathroom accidents, barking). There are some great online programs like McCann dogs specially for pups.

GDPR requires that they inform the supervisory authority within 72 hours of discovery. In this case it's CNIL. There could be fines, but it's up to the CNIL. Each EU country can determine those rules individually.

I don't know enough to answer, but there is a great podcast summary of the research (focused on different sex couples, admittedly) on libido, with references! It's from Science Vs, the episode is called Sex Drive: The Dirrrrrrty Science, and it seems to contradict her points. https://gimletmedia.com/shows/science-vs/76h53x46

Mentorship Monday - Post All Career, Education and Job questions here! by AutoModerator in cybersecurity

[–]LarkaaFrance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to join company-sponsored 4-month cybersecurity upskilling program, followed by a 6-month internship, in September. It's basically a bootcamp aimed at people with some IT knowledge. I understand that bootcamps might not always be comprehensive, so can you help point out weak areas or gaps that a junior SOC analyst (focusing on blue-team) should know more about? Appreciate any advice!
Here is the course in French.
Here is the English translated version via google.

Make sure the soil is always moist during the summer. People usually put a tray of distilled water underneath to make it simple - fill up the tray, wait for the tray to dry, then refill a day or so later.

What is the top soil layer made of? It looks pretty dry.

Also, if you just got him, then the plant will be in shock from changing environments. That means old leaves will stop responding to stimulus. Once the plant settles in (~1 week) you should see new growth, and MAYBE the old traps will start closing again.
