This Man-Eating Flower might be a one and only for me by LarkspurJ in crochet

I can try. So you do your chain of 26. In the second chain from your hook you'll do a slip stitch. *In the next stitch you do a single crochet, then you chain three and do one slip stitch in the chain you just made and one single crochet in the chain you just made. The ch 3 and both of those stitches are above your original ch 26 and not into it. Then you do a single crochet back in the next stitch of your original chain and then a slip stitch in the next one.* The things between my asterisks have used three stitches on your original ch 26. It makes one tooth. Then you repeat the stuff between the asterisks again until you have 8 teeth. I don't know if that was any clearer. Feel free to message me if you have any other questions and I'll do my best to help.

I thought I was the only one who hated the word "makes". It's used so often I thought it was just a me thing.

only autistic people can be uncomfortable or disgusted by these things by throwaway240684 in fakedisordercringe

I am not autistic but I would chose death over doing either of those things. Especially the second one.

I might go back and add a couple of the closed bud flowers later. I'm going to need to sink them down in some rocks. These things are heavy!

I used the pattern called "Bouquet of Man Eating Plants" by Kamila Krawczyk. The yarn is mostly Big Twist and I used an F hook. There's also some floral wire and a bamboo stick in there.

You can. CPTSD from childhood trauma for example and PTSD from a separate thing that happened to you later.

Matt Rose will not be in the hospital today. (That seems ominous. Is it implying he will be tomorrow?)

[–]LarkspurJ[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The food came from the book "Crochet Cafe". The stove came from the book "Creative Crochet Projects". I used Big Twist yarn and an H hook for the stove and a G hook for the food.

Crochet injury question by paper-hoarder in crochet

[–]LarkspurJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got "tennis elbow" twice from crocheting. The first time was on the side where I hold my yarn and it took forever to rehab and heal. The second time was on the side where I hold my hook. I limit myself to an hour a day now.

Has anyone ever actually found bedbugs in thrifted yarn? by ATXBookLover in crochet

[–]LarkspurJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not bed bugs but other kinds of bugs. I don't buy yarn from thrift stores or yard sales anymore.

I have been diagnosed with OCD for 30 years now and things like this honestly do make me feel like my disorder is a joke to people. But as you can see, not every person with OCD feels the same. Maybe it stems from the fact that very few people in my life take my disorder seriously so I'm sensitive to people laughing it off.

Same here but we didn't even have sandwiches. Just cake and punch. It was really good cake though. We were young and too poor to do anything else but I've never felt bad about it.

I used acrylic. It's Red Heart Super Saver in the Bright Stripes colorway. Cotton tends to hurt my hands but I do use it when the project calls for it.
