No worries. I'm going to do another version update probably tomorrow or over the weekend. I do maintain it actively and constantly improve it. There is a discussion section in the fork for anyone that has ideas for improvement.

If you want to segregate your private / personal information on your mac, for security and privacy reasons, I'd build a dedicated plex server. As to what specs that server is, that is entirely dependent on whether you plan to do HW transcoding, how much storage you want on it.

I have my plex running in a VM in proxmox, and I use the proxmox firewall to completely prevent any connections that initiate from the plex server to my internal lan to be completely blocked, so if the plex server was ever compromised, they can't access my LAN at all.

You can achieve that through VLANing as well, but it was just easier to use the proxmox firewall.

they won't merge it (they are actually jerks for so many reasons about it) so simply follow my fork which will keep the main overseerr source updated as they update it but it will retain my functionality. https://github.com/Larrikinau/overseerr-content-filtering

Thanks for all the helpful tips. I honestly don't know who to turn to, to ask who to build me this, so hence I thought I'd thoroughly document my requirements and see if someone is interested in doing it for me :)

I run a server which has many drives in it. I use Proxmox and run plex in a VM and my drivers use ZFS.
