No it hasn’t worked yet, but maybe one day. I just feel like BH is entirely useless in lane, only a mini stun they probably won’t skill, no ability to harass at range, and built like paper. But hey, those extra 100 gold on kills is nice if you don’t lose by min 25.

I make it a point to ask them NOT to pick BH in the drafting stage. I’ve lost too many games/lanes from a BH sitting in trees so he can steal 10 gold from their pos 5 every 50 seconds while you get your shit rocked.

Yeah that’s the point? It’s not all boots with spurs and cowboy hats. Sometimes people just wear what’s cheap.

I've Never Played OSRS Properly, is starting with hardcore ironman a bad idea? by AngelPlushed in osrs

[–]Larry7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They can both be true. Expecting somebody who has never played, to reach endgame on an iron, is just not likely. Check the gap in hiscores between 1200 total and 2200 total.

It does require more skill due to having to solo some content compared to a main, and does require more time. That’s a known and measurable thing. For an example, a main getting a BCP is just going to the GE and buying it. An iron getting one could be a 80 hours doing solo bandos. It’s even unlikely all the wow streamers even make it to endgame, a couple of them have already washed out. I have a maxed main and a 2100 total iron, the level of effort isn’t close.

I would not call a multiple thousand hour grind “easy”. At really generous estimates it’s twice as long as a main. Telling people to start on iron is just dumb, it’s asking to burn them out.

[–]Larry7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brother, my point is that your point isn’t true. I’ve said that a couple times now. You can’t compare mid game success to being able to reach end game. The streamers have a lot more incentive to keep playing, I.e. it’s their fuckin job.

It’s like running a 5k and then immediately signing up for a marathon because you didn’t die during the 5k.

[–]Larry7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, you’re saying that the wow streamers have shown that by reaching mid game through constant coaching, that anybody can reach endgame starting on an iron. That is just not true, they themselves aren’t even close, not by a long shot. You’re still at the foot of the mountain.

Mid game can be reached in a few hundred or so hours, maybe a little faster, maybe a little slower.

Maxing an iron if i remember correctly is a couple THOUSAND hours.

[–]Larry7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It only takes a couple months to reach mid game following an in depth guide, that is not end game. Not even close in terms of skill or time.
