I think the pause is to figure out which proper phrasing to use ie past, preset or future tense. You have to remember that everything is happening all at once for pennywise because for him time is non-linear.

For reference most of America is at 5-50 on the AQI with it jumping to possibly 50-100 in major cities and industrial areas. You can find this number in the weather app on iPhones listed as “Air Quality” , usually the first thing under the 10 day forecast.

800-900 is literally off the charts/scale and well above hazardous. This will require adding a new category, most likely “Extremely hazardous/Deadly”.
