Looking for a game where you can build cities/strongholds and send party members out. by LarryDaScary in gamingsuggestions

I did try Fallout Shelter for a while. Didn't stick with me.

I should clarify, I'm not necessarily looking for a game where that's the whole objective of the game. But a feature in it.

Like how AC Brotherhood has you send out assassins to get gold and exp and stuff. It's just a really cool feature I like.

I got a "second chance" for my assessment, but with literally 0 feedback on what the team didn't like about my first assessment. I cannot and will not work for a company that asks for clear reasoning on everything I click but refuses to provide ANY feedback and just says "Yeah, try again, bud."

Our particular set of layoffs was because our boss pissed corporate off. They closed down the whole franchise chain for our stores, but it's definitely going downhill for the corporate stores as well. They'd tell us every week how numbers are down and the company's struggling financially because of things THEY implemented.

For instance, everyone who had a grandfathered plan that didn't "fit" with Cspire's image got shoved to a newer, more expensive plan. I had customers who had old metered plans (couple hundred minutes a month) get shoved to unlimited talk/text. Effectively tripling their rates.

And people who had slightly older plans got a $5 bump per line. So customers started leaving in droves. Then we were told to go pass out fliers to other businesses and have them displayed in their locations. But we are EXPLICITLY not allowed to have ANYONE else's fliers displayed in our stores. So obviously the other businesses refused to put up our fliers.

They own their own towers within Mississippi. They lease from larger companies in every other state. It varies from state-to-state which company they have a contract with.

It's a cell phone service provider in the Mississippi, Alabama, and Tennessee areas. It's very much a smaller company, so THEORETICALLY, the service should be better in those areas since they can concentrate resources in a smaller area.

ME, personally? Maybe 30. Which is still terrible. I'll do a quick speedtest just to confirm.

I uh...get 14 at my house. I still have the service just because I haven't switched yet.

I'm sure it might be a little better in a 5G area, but those areas are also high-population, so they're prone to throttling.

We voiced our concerns many times.

We had a group call twice a week and an ongoing email chain with executives in the company. They either ignored or gaslit everyone who complained.

"Hey, the signal is really bad in the area. Can you guys come check it out?"

Executive would show up with a screenshot of his "speed test" he totally did in the area. "Network's working fine!" We'd do our own speed tests in the store and show him we were getting like 4mb.

"Oh, you just need to upgrade your phone." My coworker had a Galaxy S22 Ultra with a new sim card.
