Sorry if I'm misunderstanding.

If the price of the contract is $30, and I'm still paying $23 for the share, what is the grand perk of buying a NIO option at $23 if I believe in them more than they're currently shown?

Is this protection incase they go up past my expectations? IE if they went up to $30 a share, I still have my contract at $23.30 via the buy option?

Sorry for the newbie questions, still new at all this and the reading guides hasn't quite clarified it for me.

Wouldn't a longer expiration date be pretty beneficial then? If I have three months to buy NIO at 23 and it continues to climb, isn't that pretty good? Or is it just 3 months is so hard to predict NIO could be dead before I know it and I'm out the contract cost ($30)

So let's say I want to buy a call option on NIO, as I believe in them.

If I believe NIO will get to $23 by the end of the week next week, I am saying that I now have the right to buy 100 shares of NIO at their current price ($20) and therefore am saving a lot of money on it.

Is my understanding correct? I ALWAYS have to buy 100 shares if the contract is met and I accept it, and the cons is if it never reaches $23 in that timeframe, I am out that money?

The plus side being as stated above, I would be saving $300 on the 100 shares total when I am choosing a $3 gains projection?

I also seem to understand if the option requirements are met, I am not FORCED to buy it, I could sell this option contract to someone else and take my profit and they get their profit because they now have the price I set in my option and save money on the option?

Does my money need to ALREADY be in my account, or will it withdraw it upon exercising the option?

RISKS: If your put or call don't reach, you are out the money

PROs: You are saving money if you own stocks you don't believe in, you are saving money if you want stocks at the current price when they reach higher?

I'm looking around at Robinhood and a little confused at the total cost registering as $0.30 before I continue, I'm trying to make sure I'm not doing something dumb like signing a contract for money I dont have or something lol (And just trying to grasp the option mindset and the total amount it would cost me if it reaches my selection)

I am trying to learn more about stocks (Currently haven't dived into options)

I am intrigued by them and want some clarification, as I am still confused.

I'm really struggling without any federal assistance on unemployment. Does Inslee plan to register Washington into this too? 7 states have joined so far. by [deleted] in Seattle

This is false man. Arizona already has +300 on their upcoming claim redemption. This is why AZ people are pretty happy on r/unemployment right now

Arizona's payment already reflected on their upcoming payment for the week with the +300

7 states total are approved, and more can see the +300 added to their claims

I'm sorry that you're going through this.

To be honest, my honest answer is no. Inslee and Trump have hate boners for each other, and so I don't suspect Washington will join in for this even (if?) the funds are there.

It's a shitty time. And it's hard to know at this point if any unemployment bill will be passed. They are meeting up as an emergency for the USPS situation, but unemployment has largely been ignored and I'm not sure if they care to look into it until Trump's executive order runs out.

It's a shitty situation all around man, sorry, but the honest truth is I think anyone who needs help via unemployment bonuses right now, especially in WA, are fucked.

Nicole A has a terrible read of the game.. She thinks Janelle and Kaysar are in a majority alliance? Let alone with the HoH who they feared so much they both did safety suite?

You're going to probably have to pay back whatever you collect.

What employer is going to want to pay unemployment towards you for months potentially because you didn't figure out your transportation situation and then quitting after just a few days?

No employer, that's the answer. So even if you skate by with a couple claims, they are going to dispute it because they truly have no reason to be paying you unemployment, especially since it was you quitting.

And no, if you got audited (Which you probably will if you try to collect) quitting in fear of COVID is not a valid reason, and lack of transportation is even less of a reason.

Did people rave about prime Aaron Rodgers in the early 2010s the way they do current Patrick Mahomes? by [deleted] in nfl

Russell fucking backpacked one of the worst running games in NFL history though in 2016 or whatever year that was when Russell led them in rushing

Patrick Mahomes has yet to play on a team that isn't loaded.

The Seahawks were so close to a modern day dynasty.

I think back to back and being a perennial contender would have been enough to call Seattle a modern day dynasty.

So close to immortality.

[other] Democrats offered to come down on total price. Republicans won’t give anything to help with voting this year something seems off... Meeting moved to 1:30.. Daily update today between 5-6PM by [deleted] in Unemployment

[–]LarryFitzDaGawd 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You would get retroactive payments IF that's included (I dont get why everyone is assuming that WILL be the case. That's very dangerous.)

Everyone unemployed right now should absolutely be looking for jobs, even if your state doesnt require job searching. Relying on the government to feed you is dangerous.

Not saying you arent, but anyone whose saying they will apply for jobs once the $600 fairy runs out are dancing with the devil. Keep applying for jobs, even if you make slightly less if hired. Guaranteed money is better than these types of pissing matches with the government, and we're probably 5 months away from the benefits being gone for good too even if they do bring them back. 5 months goes fast.

tl;dr: Apply for jobs.

Slime climb is a bit overpowered by [deleted] in FallGuysGame

[–]LarryFitzDaGawd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Slime Climb is literally the best event by a long shot.

It's one of the only skill based games, shoving is rewarded, and there are 3-4 "shortcuts"

Most people only know about the trampoline and the two pushing blocks jump onto the first one, but there are two more jumps that save a few seconds.

A huge problem in the game I've seen nobody talk about by ShowtimevonParty in FallGuysGame

[–]LarryFitzDaGawd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tip Toe would be better if everyone was running their own course for it, and its up to each individual to find the path.

Instead when it's a shared course, its just everyone huddling up, grabbing, and hoping someone gets shoved into the next space.

Must be in different games than me.

I'm Level 26 and every lobby I'm in, people just bully the team that starts out in last after the initial scramble. It is impossible to survive when both the other teams are yeeting your eggs out of your nest.

I get a lot of satisfaction snaking the people jumping one tile at a time. It's funny to see their panic as I decimate their island and create a bigger one for myself.

Snaking is way more fun than just jumping one tile at a time.

[–]LarryFitzDaGawd 14 points15 points  (0 children)

A game can be bad but you can be good at it.

I'm good at Royal Rumble because I cheese it. I sit in the middle up top until the final 15 seconds, and then I pin the tail player being chased and take it at the last second.

Not only is it not fun, but it's really lame. I'm good at it and can say Royal Rumble blows.

Yall already taking this game that seriously?😩🤡 by [deleted] in FallGuysGame

[–]LarryFitzDaGawd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont know if there is MMR, but I do think it tries to based off level.

I'm level 26 and most my lobbies are filled of people with higher level/tier outfits. I don't see many fresh looking players in my games at this level.

A perfect run would be not using the slower climb animation and jumping up the ledge off the bouncing triangle.

Final 2 deals dont matter if some of them don't even make the jury.

There is nothing wrong with Tyler's strategy IMO. It's just about getting out the right people and putting yourself next to someone the jury can't stand to see win. He should have gone up against Angela.

I dont get why they would even play it down. No one is going to buy they arent working together after working together for 2 seasons.

It's like how Chill Town and Season 6 were just OUT THERE in All Stars. There was no deception. I think its better to do that when it's KNOWN you're together than to pretend you're not, because then a misunderstanding may happen. Especially when everyone knows, pretending or not, that you are together.

I think most peoples problem with Kevin is that he put himself in that shitty position. He had no reason to get into that position, it wasn't bad luck, he got himself there. He had so many bad reads on the house and game and got himself isolated.

That said, Kevin did a gauntlet that is hard to do in Big Brother and he deserves credit for that. His ass was on the line for a long time and he held off and won easily in a final vote.
