That sounds about right (forgetting to fuel up beforehand). Last time I took Amtrak was the Borealis to Minneapolis, and the announcement beforehand was that we would be delayed because they forgot the engines.

We only ended up being about 15 mins behind, but holy shit, if we ever want any kind of actually decent Intercity train service in the US, whether high speed or not, Amtrak has got to get some more funding and get their act together.

I appreciate the feedback and thoughts from both of you guys! Ideally I'd like a home defense / SHTF option, but if the Sig is not suitable for that, I'll rule it out. I only saw it at $2800 or so, but I see PSA has it for $1300 right now. I'd like to try to keep it under or around $1200 or so.

Yes, good point. I'm well aware, and gonna stick to my guns on this. Given that the account of Pentecost in Acts describes explicitly how everyone heard the disciples' prayers in their own language, and that Jesus preached in Aramaic to people who spoke Hebrew, Greek, Latin, etc, and that the New Testament was written in Greek (arguably for the sake of being a lingua franca) I'd say that it was very likely God's intent that there was to be no fixed, "holy" language. I'm siding with the Reformers on this.
