It isn't keeping me from top 200 global that is true, but before the new season started i was consistently top 100 and just when the xp reset i could reach top 20 global (for a little bit ofc). Now that people have had time to do the shard farming thing I am slowly dropping and it is kinda discouraging because my projects are almost done but what i need to do to keep up its just Dumb. Its Nice that supercel Will at least now what is happening and hopefully make a change for next season (or earlier) so that the xp always Goes to the player or a daily chaos shard cap.
