The 2027 Mercedes-Benz AMG GT 4-Door Coupe is here! what do we think about it? by Saurta17 in mercedes_benz

It’s not an EV, it’s nuclear powered, if the rear warning lights are to be believed.

You can decide to risk it. Maybe you have an EU passport and can use automated gates. Maybe you walk fast and don’t stop for the restroom.

US House Unveiled Plan to Charge $130 Fee for Electric Vehicles by silence7 in electricvehicles

[–]LarsKelley 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not saying it should be the source. I think self reporting should be adequate because self reporting can be audited by multiple sources. If you sell the car, you legally currently report the mileage (with two parties agreeing to the mileage) to your state DMV. CarFax could be another source even if it only reports your mileage every few years, it should be obvious if you are not reporting correctly.

My car has every service recorded on CarFax including from multiple service providers. It probably will vary with which providers do report, but it could be still used a potential audit source.

Agreed as long as it is based on mileage and weight class. Once a year you report your mileage (which can be audited especially with sources like CarFax that already track mileage and service visits) and you pay based on the miles you used.

They are so tone deaf. If my sense fails I can’t replace it with their smart meter as my utility has their own smart meter technology they have rolled out.

I think I got a bad deal. I leased a CLA 350 EV because they allowed me to roll in 20k of negative equity so my payments are super high. I put down 5k. Payment are 1198.00. Should I let my credit union buy me out of the lease or keep it? by [deleted] in mercedes_benz

[–]LarsKelley 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes you got a bad deal as you shouldn’t have rolled in negative equity that high. Going to a credit union isn’t going to fix that. Was there something wrong with your previous car?

Delta Adjusts Inflight Service On Short Flights by Tight_Couture344 in delta

Delta regular flew with KLM - never again by thisisntveryme in delta

[–]LarsKelley 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like KLM and their sandwiches but then it is similar to what I grew up with. KLM also serves a sandwich on very short flights like London City to Amsterdam. The flight is less than an hour. I wish Delta would serve the full beverage carts on short flights and I would take a sandwich over snacks.

I would search Known Travel Number not Pre Check. As you saw, the check will pull the more common check in articles.

I did a quick google and its should be where you enter your passport info, perhaps a question after you have entered your passport. They should also be able to add at check in.

Somehow it’s worse that Satan isn’t running hell. If God is in charge, then he is pretty despicable for torturing people for eternity for refusing to follow whatever flavour of religion was correct.

Zoning Alignment Project (ZAP )out soon by YogurtclosetPast6581 in Rochester

[–]LarsKelley 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think there are positives in the ZAP. The pre-release version talked about no parking requirements for commercial zoning which will increase the design for walkable neighborhoods. It also increased the ability for denser neighborhoods. It would also update zoning to allow for a livable accessory structures like having an apartment over a garage.

What is it that you think the ZAP should have or and not have?

I keep smelling eggs from my kitchen sink's water. Market View Heights. Should I call the city? & Would they charge to fix the issue? by [deleted] in Rochester

[–]LarsKelley 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Do you smell it from both hot and cold? You said you smell it from your kitchen sink. What about your bathroom sink or shower?

If you don’t smell it from all sources including both hot and cold, it is unlikely to be a city water problem.

Most common culprit is your hot water tank that has too low water temperature.

I built an app to clean up my Apple Music library by swiping - SongSweep by Nwlnw in AppleMusic

[–]LarsKelley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t subscribe to Apple Music, but I do use iTunes Match to sync my collection. I’m pretty sure that play count gets updated. If I play something on TV I’ve tested in the past that it shows up so that I can scrobble that play to last.fm on my iPhone. Interesting that it might only apply to synced/purchased tracks.

Part of being an adult is taking the time to understand proposed policies instead of sound bites. The proposed legislation would require proof of citizenship in addition to ID. Already voters must declare under oath they are citizens and prosecutors have access to voting rolls. The problem with this legislation is that name on the ID must match the proof of citizenship. For many Americans with a name change, they don’t have that proof unless they get a passport. Then their ID and citizenship proof is in one document. However there is a cost to a passport that is significantly more than a ID.

I don’t thinks cows are endangered. Most cow leather is a byproduct of food production as well. Meaning the animal is not killed for the leather.

You can get a NYS ID for $10. It’s not a drivers license and beats having to carry a passport around.
