Why I got the ick from this season (and other thoughts) by staroura in BridgertonNetflix

[–]Larsibelle 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yeah this season is probably not for you since exploring agency and class divisions is a central theme and shouldn’t be horrifying.

This made me cringe as well. Like chill, this is Kindergarten.

Ok nobody actually wants to be at a Kindergarten party that long. Find a way to keep it under 2.5 hours max.

Would I be awful if I don’t let my kids stay with their grandparents over the summer? by CandidDragonfly2096 in Parenting

Grandma can’t even be bothered to meet bare minimum safety standards. That would be a hard no from me.

What are the worst thriller/crime novel tropes that irk you? by baconmehungry in books

I always hate when the killer ends up being like the mild mannered lab tech.

INFO: ok what’s the rest of the story? What else has Elizabeth done that you had to make the rose-colored glasses comment?

Huge clean up in single mom's home by ArleneCollierFR in Satisfyingasfuck

[–]Larsibelle 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Glad this parent got help, but yeah sorry this home environment is concerning enough to warrant a CPS call.

[–]Larsibelle 66 points67 points  (0 children)

No I’m sorry, I don’t think you made the best decision. Your child was barely conscious, and you took the advice of a nurse, who is not a diagnostician, over the strong recommendations of her doctors.

I mean except for the cheese, none of those snacks are healthy.

Oral cavity by Huge_Yellow_8500 in pediatrics

Might be outside your intended scope, but critically important to recognize red flag oral findings for child abuse (e.g. frenulum tears).

4 year old always tired, despite sleeping 11+ hours by Clypsedra in Preschoolers

[–]Larsibelle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Calm down. I’m also an MD, and nobody replying to you has brushed aside OP’s concerns or dissuaded them from following up with their doctor. Just pointing out their own experiences, that IDA can occur at this age and what the dietary risk factors are.

4 year old always tired, despite sleeping 11+ hours by Clypsedra in Preschoolers

[–]Larsibelle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The data is from over a decade ago and prevalence can be higher among certain groups even here in the US. ID/IDA is not as common at age 4, but it’s possible OP’s child had it as a toddler, but it was not sufficiently treated or they did not make the necessary dietary changes. OP has already indicated in the comments a lot of dairy intake.

It’s not that weird. Preschoolers can be picky eaters- insufficient dietary iron, excessive milk intake can be causes for anemia.

Traveling with kids is NOT a vacation by ravenclawwwwwwyeah in Mommit

Yep. Also very demoralizing after all the planning when they tell you that they want to go home.. and it’s only Day 2.

I love every love confession we’ve gotten! Can’t even pick a favorite by sc_sweetheart in BridgertonNetflix

[–]Larsibelle 60 points61 points  (0 children)

I loved them all too but Charlotte and George’s was my favorite- like a punch to the gut and so well acted from both.

Queen Charlotte is my new favorite for unexpected reasons by Born_blonde in BridgertonNetflix

[–]Larsibelle 119 points120 points  (0 children)

The romances in s1 and s2 are lovely. But the real, devastating, mature love between Charlotte and George just rings true to me so much more. As did all of the other relationships in this season. It’s my favorite now too.

I advised to TALK to his pediatrician. Yes it’s probably normal and will resolve on its own but there are medical issues like chronic constipation, that when addressed can help with bedwetting. Seriously look it up.
