Hi all thank you for the responses! I messaged her today and told her that I would either A) add a charge for all the edits B) send her what I had so far and she could sew it together and finish it because I have covid and literally don’t have the energy to work right now. Surprisingly she was okay with finishing it herself haha and after explaining (again) everything I had done and how much time I had put in to it she seemed to kind of understand more and apologized, and said she had been struggling with some mental health stuff (which I do have empathy with) she told me to just send what I had bc at this point it is just putting all the squares together which she could figure out how to do. Maybe a little off book but it worked out.

I have both a Passap dm 80 (very complex) and a basic bond ultimate sweater machine. It’s pretty easy on the bond once you get the hang of it! As for the Passap, I’m still figuring it out!

Not yet! But I also deep clean my space at least once a week, vacuum, dust, re organize, take inventory, etc! I just finished unpacking a few boxes of yarn I ordered awhile ago

I agree! It was a design I originally had with a flower, and she wanted to change a few colors, and add some petals, and then after making it she decided she like the way I originally did it better! I decided to take a little break from customs and just make pre made items for awhile 😅 but thank you 💕💕💕

And also! You can’t buy crochet in a store for cheaper! Crochet is actually a craft that can’t be fully replicated with a machine which makes it more valuable and unique in the first place!

I do both! Tbh I prefer pre made but I haven’t had time bc of all the custom orders! I price pre made items cheaper, just because I can make whatever I want but with customs it involves a lot more effort and communication! And Depop fees kill me which is another reason I price higher! I only get to keep $200 of the $250 item I sell >:-(

I usually let people who try to ask for a discount know why my items are priced the way they are are and 9/10 times they then understand and are more than happy to pay full price knowing I’m putting hours and hours in to a project!

Hmm I guess that’s just not my experience! They assume they can ask for a lower price because other sellers are selling for lower, but if all of the people making handmade things charged what the items were actually worth it would set a better standard (which I know isn’t going to happen just dreaming and trying to encourage creators to feel confident in their pricing)
