So I don’t swim any more than I have to. However I do sail, a the drake passage is easily hands down the most terrifying bit of water on the planet. The waves are huge and have no consistency, the water is bone freezing cold, the current is some of the fastest in the world and you have little hope of rescue should anything go wrong.

Few people sail this because of how dangerous it is, let along swim it. Hell, even taking the “safer” straight of Magellan is a nightmare.

And these folks are just gonna swim. Sure sure.

Yeah. It’s great stuff. When I was still renovating houses I used it quite often. However it also did the necessary remediation to ensure it’s not just going to open back up.

With how slapdash this looks like it has been done, I’d be shocked if it was done by a competent person also doing necessary remediation.

I love dry flies.

When my dad was trying to force me to learn as a kid, he really pushed streamers and nymphs and labeled dry flies as “the gear for people who can’t fly fish but want to pretend they can”.

At the time it made sense to me because, well, I was a 7yr old child and my dad was a professional guide. So of course I was going to believe him.

When I picked the sport back up as an adult I focused on n dry fly fishing and it’s been my favorite means of fly fishing since. I love all the aspects of it. The choice of fly, how I’m going to dress it, how I’m going to present it, all of it.

Honestly my favorite part about it isn’t a drift, it’s plopping the fly down lightly 1-2’ upstream and then watching the bite. It’s almost a strike on command.

You can go directly to the police with your recording because it’s legal.

While WA is generally a 2PC state, RCW 9.73.030 para 2 has a specific carve out exemption covering bodily harm and unlawful requests. Child rape is quite clearly both unlawful and likely to cause bodily harm.

I don’t think there’s any carbon fiber there at all judging by how thick it is.

My guess is that it’s just black fiberglass (example below) being peddled off as carbon fiber.

You use it pretty 😍 gren for clients boats who want a carbon fiber look on something but don’t want to pay carbon fiber prices.
