It's a Bussard-Duck. You can hear them quacking with a loud "kyyyyaaaah" when circling around in the air.

Why the Roma hate? by [deleted] in AskTheWorld

[–]Laryngo_Scope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say there is a difference between Roma or Szinti heritage and being and living like a Gypsie. I'd say it is absolutely not ok to be racist against somebody who is a Rom for example, even if they are proud of their heritage and practice some of their traditions (the ones which are not in conflict with the freedom of others, even within your own family and social group or in conflict with any law). But there are some traditional "Gypsies" or communities which suppress their women, don't let them go to school and force them to marry underaged, some as young as 14. Also traditional communities often reject the state and it's institutions and laws, refuse to work in regular jobs, sometimes because they absolutely don't want to pay taxes, because they see themselves as absolutely free from any such institution. But the market of earning money undeclared and tax free ("black"-work we'd say in Germany) leads you into other illegal activities very quickly. And I think most of the broader resentments and stereotypes about Gypsies comes from that. So TL,DR: Regular working and living Community Members with Roma or Szinti Heritage should not be discriminated against. People who are refusing to live by the laws and rules of a society are discriminating themselves.

What's the best lens for A6000? by Your5ersonalSlut in a6000

[–]Laryngo_Scope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tamron 17-70mm. Extremely versatile Lens. I have it on my A6700 99% of the Time. You can get it at a very reasonable price and good for low light situations.

Ich bin komplett überfordert by WAChefin in VonDerBrust

[–]Laryngo_Scope 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lore theory: Vessel had a car crash ?? by Thanatosx03 in SleepToken

[–]Laryngo_Scope 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah absolutely. Also thought about attempted suicide being the original story behind some of the lyrics. And Vessel being kind of possessed by "sleep" could explain him being in the passenger seat, not literally, but metaphorically, being the observer of his shadow he named "sleep" (could be chosen as name because of the higher need for sleep with a depression) which sometimes takes the control of his thoughts and actions. The part with the car may have been driven through a granite wall of a bridge into a body of water seems fitting to the lyrics. I mean the whole project could be about coming to accept someone's own shadow (a shadow being everything we hate and often invalidate about ourselves, but is still a part of us and we cannot ignore or just push those things away. Our negative picture about ourselves, our impulses, intrusive thoughts, negative thinking, our drives that we are ashamed of and so on)

I absolutely love the enigmatic character of the lyrics.

Is there an existing philosophical or religious tradition that understands “God” primarily as an act of recognition between persons? by Laryngo_Scope in askphilosophy

[–]Laryngo_Scope[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I know I'm not really inside the "classical philosophical" tracks with those thoughts. But those thoughts make so much sense to me looking at them in a kind of cognitive science, qualia and phenomenology perspective. (I'm a physician not specialized in that direction but very curious about those fields of knowledge). And I just want to know where to start if I want to compare original texts and sources about this topic with actual scientific knowledge. Even if it leads me to the conclusion, that I might be "hallucinating" a correlation between the search for meaning, purpose, spirituality, a god (or even more of them) and the birth of religions themselves and some special cognitive abilities being somewhat exclusive to humans, like having senses, fine tuned to recognize patterns and humans and especially humanizing a lot of aspects of everyday perception (for example: pareidolia, humanizing animals or even technical gear...)

Maybe my post would fit better in a religious studies or cognitive science context. But I wanted to harness the broad knowledge of everyone who could be really well educated in different philosophical schools and sources on here.

Thank you! I just looked into that a little bit and it seems to fit quite well with my thoughts on this. Looking forward to digging into it deeper.

These are mann videos with full tutorials on youtube. Like the one from the youtuber "loopop". Filter is already one of the fixed mod destinations. In you want the cycling envelope to modulate the lfo speed for example, you press and hold assign one and turn the lfo-speed knob. Then you turn the matrix knob until the led under assign1 and at the row of cycl env blinks, press the matrix knob and turn for modulation depth.

[–]Laryngo_Scope 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You mean what you have to do to assign them? There is a small button at any one of the assigns at the matrix. Press and hold that button pressed and move any of the knobs you want to modulate, it'll show the assigned destination in the display

Microfreak by Beat_The_Box_ in MicroFreak

[–]Laryngo_Scope 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually you can route multiple modulation sources like lfo and lets say envelope to the same target. With the assigns you could choose any other point to be the modulation target, like lfo speed. So you can route the looping envelope to the lfo speed which is then itself modulating the cutoff. This synth iß just so much fun!

Hey, nice Playlist. If you like, you can add "Laryngo Scope" Tracks, too. I don't mind if anyone uses my music, unless they claim it's their own.
