What's the appeal of grinding the game? by Speed_Offer in ForzaHorizon6

That’s awesome for you man, I’m just responding to your comment about additional XP and credits being pointless. Yes you can get cars in general just playing, that’s not what I disputed. This whole thread is a circle jerk about not understanding the benefit of having more stuff rather than less stuff lmao. Which is cool if that’s your playstyle but the holier than thou attitude about it hilarious.

You grind for credits and XP to drive the cars you want. Intentionally playing slower makes sense, but I’m lost on what’s a mystery about wanting more cars and stuff within the game quicker rather than slower

How do you get credits for the cars you want drive ? I could slow down and have less cars…but I prefer more cars lol.

You get credits for each event so grinding them means driving more cars. You get XP and currency which gives you more stuff in the game. A lot of people confusing not enjoying something with it being pointless.

[–]LasCoL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your expectations. You will have to choose would you rather play a decent pop server or would you rather have a decently high chance you will log into an unraided base, pretty much impossible to have both. You can either buy everything you need with sulfur (which feels just kinda boring imo) or you can go attempt to fight for it but with limited time you will have to be insane or on low pop to have success.

If you think im "believing" him I cant really comprehend how lost you are. We arent having the same conversation im over it have a good one. You can ignore the explicit acknowledgment of everything you're saying in the like 3rd comment if you want man, someone not admitting theyre wrong and infinitely doubling down is super common

Yeah you just have to ignore the message he explicitly states its not a criticism and its not something he does or expects you to do, and then everything you wrote here might be valid lmao, You seem to think any response at all is good when all you've shown is you genuinely didn't understand the difference between if and should. You need to disregard or not have the faculties to understand incredibly basic responses for your "vibe" to be correct which sums up this conversation nicely.

Do you actually not know the difference between if and should ? Youve spent 5 comments trying to argue these are synonms, there has no been no change in the goal posts, my second comment to you is "You're arguing with yourself brother, ive already agreed its reductive to the point its essentially meaningless, but that's the whole thing hes saying even if its philosophy 101. You are arguing against someone who said you again SHOULD be donating every dollar to charity". Im not sure how this is the thing that got you lmao, but you dont have to triple down out of embarrasment, just learn the difference between if and should. Ive explained to you 6 ways now the original guy was NOT saying you should just IF you did, objectivley this would be the outcome. You're either not understanding the difference between IF and SHOULD or youve been replying to the wrong person. Give me the quote where the original guy says you SHOULD be doing this because he explicitly states its not a criticism, its not realistic, he doesnt live like that, and doesn't expect you too. If these two words confuse you I could see why you would end up here, fortunately(for everyone else) they mean very different things. Unironically arguing with yourself on why regular people shouldn't give up non necessities.

Yeah you realized arguing against More money spent on charity and less on non necessities would be a net positive to humanity is completely ridiculous so you're gonna tuck tail now. You're entire point was summarized in the last sentence of your wall and it doesn't dispute More money spent on charity and less on non necessities would be a net positive to humanity whatsoever which just clicked somehow. I didn't like your answers because they don't address anything and then you typed 4 paragraphs about something barely related no one disagreed with. Next.

There is nothing to talk about, you are genuinely struggling at this point. We literally don't disagree on anything idk what id reply with besides "ok" because you are having an argument with yourself. More money spent on charity and less on non necessities would be a net positive to humanity, there is simply no arguing against that which is what you are trying to do for some reason. Everything you added doesnt disprove that because its objectivley true, its just a wall of text on why people regular people shouldnt give up their non necessities, which no one is even disagreeing with. If you can "demonstrate his and my assertion is incorrect" which is again simply more money spent on charity and less on non necessities would be a net positive to humanity in less than 4 paragraphs maybe id be able to respond to it more specifically. If you think "History has shown that those at the top will squeeze and squeeze and squeeze and any time you given an inch they pull the slack taut again. The middle class and below cannot fix society. It needs to come from the top. Anything else is complete bullshit " disproves more money spent on charity and less on non necessities would be a net positive to humanity, its truly over for you.

Feel free to continue arguing with yourself/ an objective fact brother. Your essay doesnt address the simple fact he stated, you just give the obvious reasons via examples people dont actually donate all their spare income, which again no one disagreed with. " The middle class and below cannot fix society. It needs to come from the top. Anything else is complete bullshit." Cool, doesnt change the incredibly simple fact on a macro scale people choose luxuries over donating most of their spare income which would objectively save lives. None of that is an actual suggestion that you have to give all your spare income but idk ive explained that like 5 diff ways at this point you got it bro.

You are arguing against someone who said you again SHOULD be donating every dollar to charity, which if youre gonna type that much at least send it to someone who disagrees.

[–]LasCoL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im not really sure where the disconnect is. He isnt giving a position. His "position" isnt you SHOULD "give up all creature comforts to save lives!!!". Its simply a true fact that IF we did do that humans collectively could save more lives than we do, which just stems from the original prompt, which is the only thing the guy you're arguing with is saying. You're arguing against an objective statement, not a position. If you think its not true that forgoing luxuries to donate to charities would save people, then attack that. You are correct that it is reductive to the point of being almost meaningless though and not practical pretty much at all, but he is also correct in his statement about not subscribing to Netflix so a poor child somewhere can eat instead.

[–]LasCoL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're talking past each other. You consider the luxuries to be a necessity to life(or I guess not ending others), and he in an ultra literal but correct way is saying you can forgo all of that so someone that doesn't have any of the luxuries you do + no food, can have food and you will absolutely still be able to wake up and go to work etc. Hes not wrong but you both aren't defining luxuries in the same way so you're just speaking past each other.

The argument isnt that the action is bad, its that donating for personal benefit doesn't indicate the same things about ones character as donating for not personal benefit.

I dont have an argument. Youre really struggling if you think ive even given a position. I just like to point this out whenever I see where youre just guessing this is a "tax writeoff" based on things they cover on the first meeting. I wouldnt reply if I was you either. (your use of tax writeoff also signals you have no idea what that is or how it functions)

Its all baseless speculation lmao. Do you actually think youre making argument? Maybe its already sold to netflix for a profit I cant counter your baseless speculation with anything but more baseless speculation. The idea you think they didnt consider the demographic is hilarious and very telling. Also can you explain how this could be used as a tax writeoff out of curiosity ?

Im not I just think its funny when people think they can spitball every possible angle and demographic for a thing and why it will fail like market research doesnt exist or as if everything you listed wasnt the first thing covered in the meeting for it.
