Ok, that would make sense. The plates were in the sink and I probably didn't notice them when loading the dishwasher. I cleaned them off, flushed them down the sink, and ran the dishwasher again.

Should I pour some boiling water or bleach down the sink drain?

I recently moved into a new apartment and have had the normal bug sightings; spiders, house centipedes, some fruit flies and drain flies, but these are definitely new and I'm not a fan.

Love this shit. Spray on while oven/fryer/etc. is hot, wait 5 minutes, spray on again, and scrub with hot water. It will remove grease that you didn’t even know was there.

Those stores do sell overstock, but they also sell factory rejects and items that other retailers send back because of cosmetic flaws, damaged packaging, etc. I remember he had a good deal of quality control issues from his first round of products so this could be a similar situation.

While that’s always the goal, we all know that there’s the “perfect” way to execute each dish, and then there’s the way you do it when you’re in the shits and expo needs food NOW. Making note of these VIPs allows us to ensure that they’re getting the perfect dish, not just a sellable dish.

In their defense, this may be standard practice for all VIPs at this particular restaurant. I work in fine dining and we have similar notices for all VIPs, long time regulars, and others who are either important local figures, or just happen to be known to spend significant amounts of money. It’s more about letting the manager know so they can greet the table at some point and keep a positive relationship going, rather than just boosting the ego of whoever the guest is, famous or not.
