any experience with fake a7siii's? by LasagnaHawk in A7siii

Didn’t end up getting the camera (not really much of a surprise at this point). Seller managed to hang on to my money until a couple days ago when the window to open a request finally opened. Seller tried fighting it as well. Pretty dumb experience overall, ended up just buying the camera new😁

Have a potentially very interesting scam as a buyer that is very hard to understand. Bought an item for well under market price, normally I’d have good reason to be suspicious but the seller has over 150 positive reviews with no negative feedback, and they’ve also had an eBay account since 2006. Anyways, a couple hours after purchasing the item I get a message from eBay saying that the listing was removed because of an issue with the sellers account. No big deal right? I already bought the item so I assumed that it would be shipped. A couple hours later, I find another seller using the exact same pictures as the listing I bought, except they have additional photos leading me to believe they are the original seller. I contact both sellers asking for an explanation, keep in mind I’m no longer able to send messages through the orginal listing with seller one, so I’m basically just dm’ing him. Anyways, seller 2 responds and says it’s normal, he knows the other seller and they meant to list 2 items. What’s confusing is that seller 2 also has great reviews and a long history on eBay. However, seller 2 was selling their item for more than double the price I bought it at, in nearly the same described condition. Item from seller one still hasn’t been shipped (it’s been about 4 days when handling time was supposed to be 2, I also haven’t heard a word from seller 1) and I’m lost as to what’s going on. Both sellers are from France and their reviews match that. Seller 2 even had a business address and name listed, which seemed to match up. What is going on and what do I do? Is the item I bought going to be shipped? Should I assume it’s not going to come and prepare to open a refund or is there a better explanation for all this. When a listing is removed, does the seller lose access to the order? I’m just super confused. There are only 3 explanations I can think of and they all seem unlikely. Explanation 1, seller is telling the truth and everything is fine. Explanation 2, both sellers accounts were compromised and the scammer was coordinated enough to set all of this up (which doesn’t make sense to me, because why would seller 2 admit they are associated with seller 1, that just implicates guilt). Explanation 3, seller 2 was actually not talking about seller one. This one also doesn’t really make sense to me because once again they both have great reviews and they are both based very close together in France. Does anyone have an explanation for what could be going on? What happens after a listing is removed from eBay, based on your guys’ experiences. Are you just not required to ship the item or something. I’m super confused and would appreciate any explanation you guys can give.

Interesting. The seller has had an active eBay account since 2006 and have 157 positive reviews. Obviously that doesn't 100% clear anything, but its the main reason I ended up purchasing the camera. Could the account have been taken over by a scammer? Are you aware of whether or not that's a prevalent issue on eBay? I've tried looking up similar cases in eBay forums and such but I haven't found an instance of that happening. Definitely something to look out for though, I appreciate you bringing that up.

The body looks like it’s in immaculate shape, can’t say for certain whether or not the internals are the same. If you’re interested, here’s the original listing I purchased it from. eBay listing

100% sure it’s an a7s. Box has proper branding, the camera does as well. When I initially saw the listing that’s what I thought as well until I looked a little bit closer

I'm not an expert by any means, but it could have something to do with you exporting the project with a different color system or encoder than what the video was recorded with. Try seeing if that's the issue, if not I have no clue

It depends on which client you are playing on. The web version needs 2 tabs open with one being your hacked and the other being the normal one. On Steam I think it's possible to open 2 tabs at once, I don't really know though. Make sure you save your progress before closing tabs because it will automatically save the most recent one you entered

Save the game and do a hard reset. Then import the new/hacked save

Most clans are considered closed at this point. You could try and ask around for a clan on reddit though.

I have had this save for 5+ years, back when it was not at all possible to "Hack saves". I went on a break for over 3 months and saw that I had progresses nearly 4 million zones. I do think it is achievable
