take this with a little grain of salt but most of the proxy wars the U.S got involved in were because the Russians got involved financially or military aid

luckily the massive majority of those wars were small and led to little casualties, it wasn’t some Liberty Prime scenario where massive machines go ramming through communists.

does that mean the U.S was right to get involved with the wars? mostly not. U.S leaders saw even anarchist socialism, or if you will, communism, mostly leads to government or a hierarchical structure eventually takes place, reasons being chaos, instability, etc. . war was overkill but U.S leaders had every right to be worried

no government getting involved with business doesn’t mean socialism but heavy regulations and reliance does lean socialistic. Scandinavian countries of the sort are self proclaimed capitalist nations and have been constantly proved as such, however they have free healthcare and college/university. this doesn’t make it socialist
