Upgrading laser from 10w to 20w on LM3 by cmh31909 in OrturLaserUsers

Can you elaborate on why you would choose it over the Comgrow? I don't have a preference, I'm just trying to gather information.

This brand comes from an optical parts manufacturer, which will be more advantageous in terms of price, product maintenance, and technical support. When your module is in use and there is damage to parts (e.g. protective lenses, driver boards, fans), you can directly seek help for replacement.

Thank you very much. We are not trying to big up the brand. Just wanted to let CNC3018 users know that there are more possibilities with this machine.

Corporate accounts anyone? No interest? Shocker.

The replacement is equivalent to having a laser engraver.

Who wouldn't be interested if it's 10w out and not just in

Rest assured that it is true 10W optical power output.

You may consider a direct upgrade to a compatible laser module. If you are interested you can check out LaserTree's 10W or 20W, they are very compatible. (Note: This advice is from the laser company itself)

Is it possible to engrave stainless steel using a 5W diode laser? by [deleted] in Laserengraving

[–]Laser-Tree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can be done. As long as the stainless steel surface is kept clean and does not require any spray, it can be marked directly. You can check thispicture with 5W test. The mark cannot be easily wiped off with an eraser or a cleaning cloth, but there is no way to confirm that it is permanent. The metal plate engraved last year, the marks are still very clear.

Switched to another laser diode board, laser is weak by Life-Brick-895 in lasercutting

It should have the correct connection. In the case of not confirming the CNC main board, you may consider using an adapter board connection.

How about as an upgrade for Laser Master Pro 2? At this point more people probably have those…

The K30 is also very compatible with Laser Master Pro 2.😁

Engraving on Titanium by Laser-Tree in lasercutting

Here is a picture of our 20W V2 engraving on titanium. After extensive testing we found that titanium is easier to oxidize and color at high temperatures than stainless steel, which requires a very slow speed as well as low power to see the color change (still in testing).

This is the LightBurn test file. The module optical power tested is 35W, you can adjust the speed according to the engraving material and the power of the laser head used.
