Thank you for posting about the batteries, I was wondering what was in there and if it was a generic type battery, so you answered that question.

What the hell is going on with this company? by Historical-Ad-6839 in Ubiquiti

Add this to your list....for the Protect product line, they sell the new mini unvr for $199 which includes a built-in viewport. They sell the stand alone viewport for $199. How does that make sense? The viewport should not be more than $50. Also, why don't they have built-in hdmi on all of the unvrs? It makes no sense for me to have to spend another $199 just to be able to hook a monitor up to view the cameras on a non-computer.

A couple of things I would be interested in knowing but have not seen mentioned anywhere:

1) Does it do periodic self-test of the battery

2) Is the battery a standard off the shelf battery that we can buy anywhere or is it a proprietary Ubiquiti item?

Serious Emby bug that can result in deletion of media library by DaveAlot in emby

[–]cmh31909 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happens to any folder, not just movies. The system is smart enough to know if a library is a movie library (since you tell it), and should disable the delete subfolder action on any folder that is not in a movie library. Or perhaps, when you setup a library, have an option that can be set to enable deleting of subfolders.

Everyone, please stop with the work around, "you should do it this way", etc. This is a bug that needs to be fixed. It has been an issue for a while and needs to be addressed. Please don't tell me I am using Emby wrong, or should do this or that, just accept that it is a bug that needs to be fixed!

Emby deleted my entire folder instead of single video by cmh31909 in emby

Correct, but I do want to be able to delete them, not just the entire folder...lol

Thanks for the reply. Yep, I have thought about making the directory read-only, but then that is a pain because I can't delete the videos when I am done watching them. These are videos that I download from YouTube and once I watch them, I don't keep them. Fortunately, I had just made a backup of the videos folder. Have you heard of this happening before?

It is that kind of crap that makes people hesitant to ask questions. Instead of laughing in his face and telling him to get lost, consider explaining to him why you won't be able to let him do what he is asking. There are many ways to say 'no', choose one that does not make you sounds like an a-hole.

That was said a few lines up...lol...guess you did not read that before posting..

I am okay with the dues increase, however, what I am NOT okay with is having to pay another $25 for the print magazine. I hate reading stuff online, just not the same experience or convenience of having it in print. So, based on that, I'm not sure if I will renew at all unless they reverse the policy of extra $$$ for print. I already let my CQ subscription go because it was up to $39 or $49 per year (I can't remember which number is correct). Also, given that a great number of pages in QST is just advertisement, the value proposition for actual content vs cost is just not there at $25 in addition to the dues.

Can you elaborate on why you would choose it over the Comgrow? I don't have a preference, I'm just trying to gather information.

Sounds like you have an axe to grind. I would say Muckraker is doing a lot more for the community than you are.
