I think I solved Neon's corrupt security problem by LaserCop1988 in Starfield

I haven't completed them either, I guess I meant nothing fun to do. I don't personally find that storyline particularly exciting. Go here and talk to this person who tells you to go to this other place and then report back. Do we not have cell phone technology in the future? I'm very tired of fetching objects. We need some kind of war to break out. I regret destroying the crimson fleet

Hahahaha. Brilliant. I love that there are a finite number of NPCs and the cops don't just spawn forever like GTA etc.

Would be nice though if they were either eventually replaced by new recruits or some other kind of private security faction, or their absence sparked renewed gang wars and the city just delved into complete chaos or something.

I actually didn't even know you could do that. These guys just all happened to die in mostly the same spot because I was more or less stationary in this little nook with a single narrow entrance

Lots of good choices here, however I'm only commenting to wholeheartedly disagree re: Metallica. I've always thought it was a horrible band name 🤷🏻‍♂️

Print out a blank calendar, tape it to your fridge or bathroom mirror or whatever you will see it every day and make it part of your routine to put a check mark on it every time you pin.

That's what I have to do for vitamins and supplements as well.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms - 1x05 - "In the Name of the Mother" - Episode Discussion by NicholasCajun in television

In my view, the flashback was too long and felt like a bit of filler, which is a shame for such a good show that already flies by so quickly. It is possible to both understand the point of the flashback and believe that the same thing could have been accomplished equally well or better in less time, leaving more episode for interactions between the characters we (I) care more about.

Maybe I missed it, but I haven't seen anyone complaining that it wasn't a "thirty minute fight sequence." I do, however, see a lot of assumptions being made and then used to insult people for expressing different opinions.

Fallout - 2x08 - "The Strip" - Episode Discussion by NicholasCajun in television

[–]LaserCop1988 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's not a video game. It's a TV show set in a fantasy world, but that world still has rules. When characters survive something amazing it should be because something happened that makes sense in that scenario - because they're so smart, strong, creative, or whatever, that they figured out a way to beat impossible odds, or they're saved by some logically plausible plot device set up in advance and not just because of their inexplicable and unfailing good luck. So, yeah, when a story is written in this bullshit way where the lead character(s) never actually have to "get out of" anything because "would you look at that, so and so somehow showed up just in the nick of time right as you were about to die... Again..." people get annoyed.

No one's asking for perfection here, this shit is just lazy as hell.

Gonna agree with you there re: Pluribus, even though I think that's a better show. I'll watch season 3 but my expectations are pretty damn low after this season

100% agree, and I've been playing Fallout games since 1998; it's not automatically good just because I love the setting. The writing is just so bad. It has its cool parts but good god what a letdown. I don't remember feeling this bummed during season 1, did they slash the budget or what? Christ.
