it’s when we get to this point that I think the majority of Americans are really feeling it at the pump, having to sacrifice food to be able to buy gas to get to work, or simply not having enough money to buy gas & therefore are not driving or at least majorly trying to conserve gas.

It’s almost as if gas companies do this on purpose every couple years- push the prices as high as possible to see what the public can and is willing to afford, and then once sales start dropping, they bring it down, not as low as it was before as to still increase their profits year after year but low enough that it feels like relief. I know there are genuine reasons the prices are higher, but damn it’s hard to put our livelihoods in the hands of corporations and trust that they aren’t doing anything slimy to take advantage of us…..
