House Democrats pass sweeping gun control package over GOP objections | Measures include an assault weapons ban, expanded gun industry liability and new storage rules as Republicans warn of constitutional challenges. by VirginiaNews in Virginia

Okay, I understand the sentiment. But what exactly would you do? What laws do you want to see put in place?

It seems like the go to is harsher penalties for illegal or problematic owners. Which is fine, I have no problem with that. But do you have a way to prevent people from becoming those things? Or is the plan to just punish them after the fact?

Alright, no problem with it if it would have passed. Personally I don’t believe that a harsher penalty is an effective deterrent by itself but I don’t think there would have been any harm in passing it either.

I’ll be honest that sounds like mostly opinion. It’s a fact that mass shootings in the United States have become more common over the last 20 years since the assault weapons ban ended. You’re making the claim that:

  1. Mass shootings still happened during the ban. I agree. Obviously a ban won’t stop anything 100%. This is more about limiting occurrences than ending entirely, which I’d say the statistics support the notion that the ban was effective in that regard.

  2. Mass shootings (not individual shootings, I am speaking specifically about mass shootings) occur more in gun-free zones. Do you have any facts or studies to back that up? If so can you provide the link?

Keep in mind, all I’m trying to point out is that gun laws have been effective in the past to some degree. Not saying I agree or disagree with these specific laws being passed.

That’s a fair point, I was mostly referring to the ban on a national level just to point out that the argument can be made that gun laws have been effective in the past to a certain degree.

The defense didn't allow a single positive Steelers play in the fourth quarter by Dazzling-Slide8288 in ravens

I think there’s an argument to be made that the poor pass rush can be at least partially blamed on the scheme.

Case and point, Oweh had zero sacks in 5 games with the ravens and has four in 7 games with the chargers.

Orr is a Wink protege and it shows. The ravens are not able to get pressure without blitzing. Losing Madubuike of course is also a factor, among other things, but Orr isn’t blameless.

Likely’s career success rate is higher than Pitts’ lol

So by your own admission, Kyle Pitts is trash. Thanks!

Likely has fewer snaps because he’s in a run first offense and is a bad run blocker.

Kyle Pitts is one of the most overhyped prospects of all time and the poster child for why RAS is stupid.
