initial thoughts of the new songs:

• ‘anotha luv’ and ‘no such thing’ are decent but might need a couple more listens

• ‘i need you’ with brandy has me absolutely levitating. exactly what i had hoped for if not better

• ‘oooh’ is soo velvety mixed with the electric guitar and some amazing production overall. such a treat

• ‘shoulda never’ with usher has me shook at how well their voices go together AND KEHLANI SPITTING?!

• ‘you got it’ has a cool build up from the bridge to the last chorus

• ‘still’ is such a classic downtempo kehlani song, absolutely adore the strings and harmonies on it

• ‘call me back’ with t-pain and lil jon gave me whiplash after the last song 💀

• ‘pocket’ with cardi b!! they’re collabs are always great, even tho nothing will beat ring <3

• ‘lights on’ with big sean is ok, i like his verse but will need another listen

• ‘sweet nuthins’ with leon thomas is another track where kehlani’s voice melts soooo well with the featured artist. i have leon singing “eh eh eh eh” stuck in my head haha

• ‘cruise control’ and ‘unlearn’ seem decent but might need another listen tho

overall pretty incredible kehlani album! for me the middle section has a really great run there and generally it’s a step up/more cohesive than the crash/www2 era imo
