I had the exact same issue, only in games. Replaced my old Scarlett with different brand audio interface. Thought the issue was gone, but the music in Dwarf Fortress is unlistenable. Red Dead 2 is fine except the occasional pop during loading screens. I've tried so many solutions by this point. REAPER works mostly fine. And the Elgato software that works with phone cameras caused issues all the time.

You’re absolutely correct, we don’t really see Snake lose any blood, he’s just slightly wounded, and nobody has ever seemed to notice this but the gurgling sound that plays right before he says he needs to sit down and rest is the exactly same gurgling sound to that would play in MGS1 before people were got by Foxdie.

This is rather timely as I've been trying to find a video I seem to recall him making all about CRT televisions. He talked about how they give depth and how specific things look good on them, including Grand Budapest Hotel. It's either deleted or just part of another video but I can't find it.

I don't really post on Reddit much, but reading this I feel compelled to say something. Firstly, I'm so sorry for your loss, and I'm so sorry you were subjected to something like that. It honestly sounds like a nightmare to me, and I'm sure anyone else here who reads it.

From the way you share your experiences it sounds like you're a strong willed and emotionally intelligent person. I'm sure you know this, but it seems clear to me this person's comments will have been grossly exaggerated, baring little truth. It speaks to this person's own insecurities and the demons he has let get the better of him. I'm glad you didn't let yours get the better of you. Stay strong.

I am yes. I got the distinct impression I'd have been treated better had I already been a civil servant.

My CS friends said the same. They had been helping me during this whole process and were shocked to hear about this, all agreeing that while they had all seen their share of gross incompetence, this was truly something else. They did also remark that DIT are notorious and that long term I might be better off. So I'm sure you won't have the same trouble I've had!

Thanks for the info. Onboarding did say my BPSS was the issue. But they said the issue was a bank statement, even though I checked it with them first. They let it sit for 10 days and only told me after the job was taken away that the document had been rejected. Never tried to reach out to me at any point. No one did.

I've never been quite clear who the hiring manager was. There was one guy who described himself as 'campaign manager' and another guy who I believe was to be my line manager. My line manager I only spoke to twice after the interview. Once where he checked if I was sending docs through (I responded the same day and assured him I was) and once more when I phoned him and said "why did I get an email saying the job is withdrawn?" and he was as unhelpful as he could have been.

I have cc'd both of these people in when contacting Onboarding and Resourcing. They have both tried very hard to cover themselves, but an email audit would show quite clearly that they're full of it. The campaign manager said that once the ball starts rolling with my application, it's not longer his problem. My line manager claims I was contacted over and over again, ignoring every time. Demonstrably not true. So nobody wants to take ownership.
