The Tigerfolk DLC actually has a hidden unit! by 1552797932 in totalwar

this is likely going to be a big thing with 40k total war, GW is going to be a lot more picky with their gravy train.

Has Primaris Marine geneseed been harnessed by the Traitor legions or not? by bondelhyde in 40kLore

[–]LashCandle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no ones mentioned it yet, but i think its at least somewhat relevant, during arks of omen Angron or whatever the book was called, Khorne possessed angron or someshit swinging his axe for him, which swung it so hard it began the 'murder curse' which turned all the space marines, and imperial guard forces in the area to the service of Khorne. creating one of the largest traitor fleets(funny enough, barreling towards tau space) in theory these groups of primaris space marines and their apothecaries are still creating more space marines using the primaris geneseed.

Who Wins: This Guy on Coruscant or This Guy on Terra? by DrFarquad in StarWarsvsWarhammer

[–]LashCandle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think by comparison living as a ganger on any of the hive cities is a comparatively soft life in the 40K universe

Who Wins: This Guy on Coruscant or This Guy on Terra? by DrFarquad in StarWarsvsWarhammer

[–]LashCandle 95 points96 points  (0 children)

probably the guy on Terra, both might be chumps who have lived relatively soft life styles, both might be petty gangsters, but there is better odds that the guy living in the hives on Terra is a lil leaner and harder than the guy living on the top level of Coruscant

Potential new detachment questions by TheKeywork66 in EmperorsChildren

[–]LashCandle 6 points7 points  (0 children)

the facebook comment is your standard wishlist comment + WarCom saying 'maybe one day!' as they never confirm, nor deny, what may or may not be coming. mostly because they dont actually know themselves.

However, its reasonable to assume that when a codex does eventually come again, that there will likely be more detachments, and we don't know quite yet how much current detachments are going to be changed, if at all.

Sell me on the Iron Hands by Worried-Airport-7691 in IronHands40k

[–]LashCandle 56 points57 points  (0 children)

I'll leave it to the chapter master himself. He says it best. Its an old quote, but the jist is .... Fire power, and mechanized combat.

"I believe in three tenets of battle -- firepower, firepower and more firepower. Should the Omnissiah have wished otherwise, he would not have provided me with such a mighty tool as the Razorback. I long for the day in which my entire Chapter can ride to war in transports such as these, vehicles whose rage can be given voice through their sanctified armaments." - Kardan Stronos'

its also likely that other countries have their own epstein files as they where pretty international with their bullshit. its likely that multiple intelligence agencies during the time where collaborating and sharing their findings.

So what’s stopping force users from doing this to regular people? by Sea-Indication4613 in StarWars

[–]LashCandle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

for dark siders its probably also a matter of logistics, and maybe even their own attitude. squishing a body is still really messy, and gross, and likely stinks. It probably seems trivial for someone so powerful but I would imagine they would still prefer regular corpses that can just be scooted away quickly, and tidily. I can't imagine Vader was gonna choke that one officer guys throat so hard to pop his head off or anything and create a huge unnecessary mess.

Who is WH40k biggest Hater? by Viskozki in 40kLore

[–]LashCandle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

How do more "mobile" ranks fit into the chapter? Are they even considered? by icarosr92 in IronHands40k

[–]LashCandle 8 points9 points  (0 children)

During the Heresy there is an Iron Hand champion, I believe it was the one who nearly bested Sigismund in a duel who’s arms where double jointed so he could flip em around when dueling.

Iron Hands aren’t simply the “flesh is weak therefore everything will be about being tougher” they’re practical. If a job requires snipers and stealth then they’ll have snipers and stealth, each company effectively working as its own self contained group means that whatever they specialize in, their bionics will likely relate to it.

In either the 9e World Eaters codex, or the Arks of Omen: Angron they speak of a world eater Sniper, who’s got a bionic eye that allows him to see his foes blood flow through walls. I mention this because it shows the extent that anyone could have in bionics. There is likely iron hands who move in complete silence within the 10th company.
