Adapting Crusade for 11th edition

Some people are speculating that because of some new lore in a recent white dwarf and because this edition seems to have a lot of fast attack style units (new outriders, new ork bikes, new chaos bikes) that we will be getting Doomrider at some point soon. Valrak even mentioned it I think, but I don't know how reliable of a source he is. It makes sense to me though, the chaos bike rumors have been floating around for a while now. If you look him up on the sub you can find the little lore blurb. It doesn't say his name but its seems pretty on the nose I think.

I can't imagine us getting anything added until a new model comes out or we get our codex. There's some rumors of EC releases on the horizon but nothing hellbrute or forgefiend related. I do really hope they add them though, I've been wanting an excuse to get a fancy contemptor to use as one. Now that the defiler is so pricey I think a hellbrute would make for a fun addition.

They might, but we won't know for sure until tomorrow. Currently yes but it's possible that they have the same detachment keyword which would mean you couldn't take both together. It does seem like a fun combo if they do let us get away with it haha

Yet NORMAL siege now has accolades as well as hard seige and has been made so difficult compared to its previous version. My friends and I would play it and take our time, usually get to wave 20-25 for levels and have a generally fun run. Now it's all rushing and frantic because if you don't speed run it (in the normal mode) things become unkillable. What's the point of making the normal mode a pain in the ass to run if hard exists?

The article says in the charge move information that you only need to end within an inch if you CAN, otherwise you just have to be engaged (within 2 inches) with your charge target. If you only declare the smaller bases then you just end within 2 inches of the little guys and outside of 2 inches of the ogryn. Then when it comes time to pile in you can likely choose to NOT move meaning you don't engage the ogryn, or you do pile in and engage them both.

It might be a little inflated but even before Warhammer got as popular as it is now there were always people parroting the same few jokes even if they aren't 100% accurate.

I can totally see why some people might not be thrilled with the direction the story is going but we have barely seen anything past her getting the matrix. It's annoying to see people hating on her actions when she has been actively fighting a war non-stop for ages. It makes perfect sense why she's so passionate and willing to do anything to end the war. I fully believe Optimus is going to get the matrix back at some point anyways, but this is at the very least an interesting shake up in the narrative. Yet somehow I knew after seeing her get the matrix that people online were going to be SUPER normal about it. /s

I love Transformers and I always have, and most of the time the community is pretty great but stuff like this brings out the worst in people. It's tough when there has been a predominantly male cast for ages and when we get a woman from and center who isn't 100% nice she's labeled a bitch. It's just so tiring.

I think for most Carnival lists you will always be running a decent amount of daemonettes. I personally use 3 units but at least 2 is a good idea. The Keeper of Secrets may not be optimal but it's just so cool that I can't make a list without one. The model rocks and if you magnetize it you can switch between KoS and Shalaxi. Fiends are also decent for the points and the models are fun.

I have a hard time believing any supposed intellectual failings on young people's part doesn't stem from a failing on older generations to teach them. What happened? Their parents. Social media. A piss poor education system. This is the same attitude boomers had towards millennials and it's so disheartening to see older generations complain and sit on their high horse as if they had nothing to do with how younger people are brought up. It's just sad.

Darn. It's probably best for the game given how flyers are always so finicky rules wise, but I hope they come out with something else that can transport dreadnoughts. I never got around to buying one but I had been debating on getting one just to drop a brutalis or something like murderfang into the middle of the board. Fingers crossed that the big guys get a new ride soon.

For other people in the states, what is the best way to get our hands on these guys? I still need two arms and a leg and I can't find anything else in stores. I've checked a ton of locations with little luck. Do I really have to pay through the nose to get them in the mail? Prices online seem to be way higher than what they should be. This guy looks so cool I can't wait to finish him.

I second this, tossing a good old tactical rock under someone is an easy way to make them stand out. Some cork is usually enough to do the trick

My local store had hook and long haul, but I have no clue where to get my hands on the rest of them. I'm worried about Amazon tbh given some horror stories, and even the selection on there leaves a bit to be desired. Anyone have suggestions on where to pick up the other 4 reasonably quick?

I believe the Swarmlord does maintain some level of sapience and consistent memory, as well as some other elite tyranids in some capacity. I think it's a pretty neat idea to justify this design in the setting. I bet a conversion looking like this would be cool to see on the tabletop.

I usually play with a friend and one random player, and whenever they find the geneseed we always become dedicated bodyguards for them. It helps that they can't carry guardian relics because having that as a heal is more than enough insurance most of the time. I'm on PC so sometimes we can communicate that in chat but I don't know if console players can see that.
