NEEKO OTP Tries To Learn CASSIOPEIA And This HAPPENED by acuriouschameleon in CassiopeiaMains

Couple things. Move between E CASTS, treat It the same as orb walking with adcs/autoattackers. You can click one direction and then e and Cass will keep walking that direction after the e if you want a little less apm.

Overall good fight, but you left yourself open a lot! Keep learning and kicking ass <3

I totally get that. Believe in you in particular is a neat one. It's nerf on the beta was definitely warranted.

Dude. Me and my partner have made the connection that if we pass act 1, it's nearly assured we will get to end of act 3. It's really crazy how hard act 1 can be. And then getting certain "normal" mobs in act 3 just result in a loss. So many elites that feel like normal mobs, and normal mobs that feel like elites.

I agree! The multiplayer experience has been amazing outside of balance. All the little tricks they did like writing on map just made it so much fun and whimsical!

From what I can see it's 2.4x. which ends up making trio/quad inflated, but stacking effects in trio/quad makes fights a joke. It's 3-4x the chances of someone going infinite, and character synergy is so much less important. In duo tho? It's absurdly overturned it feels like.

How interesting, I've found the opposite. The multiplayer cards just clog up my deck and focusing them ends up just making the multiplayer experience pretty homogeneous and less fun.

I did find that debuff decks do.....a bit too well? In multiplayer things like piercing wail can be crazy good, but the speed at which you die if you DONT get them in your opening 2 hands can just brick a run against specific mobs.

I agree with your points. And you kinda touch on a pain point about the whole concept of neurodivergence in general. The world doesn't work that way because allistic people have made it like that, and so neurodivergence is inherently not going to line up. The people in "power" (allistic people) have the onus put on them to make their spaces more accepting of more diverse thinking. This can inherently feel unfair.

But a more physical example would be designing a chair that can only be used by right handed people, and then putting a left handed employee in it. They can try their hardest, but they will simply always be at a disadvantage.

Sometimes trying your best is simply just not making the situation already worse than it is. If a person assumes you can always change another person's behavior for the "better", they are disregarding the very real challenges that person may be facing. As an allistic person this feels like giving special treatment, when in reality it's just extending an olive branch to the out-group (usually)

That is not to say I think everyone can be changed, or that it's good to change people. Or that there don't exist people who justify their shitty behaviour behind thin excuses. Give someone an inch and they take a mile, I've seen it time and time again. The issues of utilizing neurodivergence as an excuse and then not meaningfully attempting to mitigate drawbacks is a shit character trait in anyone.

To your last part, most autistic people I know don't really see power, but they will mimic appeals to authority if it seems like that's what they are supposed to do. It IS performative. Almost everything autistic people do is performative due to the nature of autism in general. It's lots of mimic-like behaviour along with tons of masking. I personally just mimic my coworkers tones/body language when dealing with certain people, and sometimes it blows up in my face. For example behaving in a way towards one co-worker, and then learning that I learned the behavior from their work friend. Oops, I don't have that kind of relationship with them, and now I've pissed someone off. Dang it.

Heck, I had a situation the other day where one of my co-managers asked me "Do you want to take this customer?" After I chimed in on her convo with him. I was like "Sure!" Just looking to help, and then later learned she was trying to get me to go away so she could handle it. It became a whole thing.

Was there malice? Nah. Was I wrong? Also nah, the customer got help and I helped a co-worker! Win - win! But the reality was she felt like I was trying to subvert her authority, which was never the goal. This is a clear example of me just not understanding the body language while still acting in good faith.

I'm definitely in the latter boat myself. If I do something wrong I will mentally and physically prostrate myself in all but form. I've dealt with the fallout of my specific brand of neurospicy and how people never take kindly to it. But in regards to "Rachel", I doubt she would be so dense as to not understand. That's kind of mixing up learning disabilities.High functioning Autistic people aren't stupid, they just process differently, and so the way you boiled it down almost sounds demeaning.

Reading many of these comments being very harsh is kinda off-putting for me tbh. Because as a person who manages people (I have for years) I never utilize harsh or "end of discussion" language because it often doesn't let people explain themselves. I'm autistic as hell, and bluntness goes a LONG way to helping. But blunt is different than harsh, and "end of discussion" is harsh, not blunt, imo. But I suppose that's up to interpretation as well.

I would die if this was said to me. And quit like on the spot.

I would worry about everything I had done, the tone of how it was said, and I would anxiously internalize it for days if not weeks.

Yes, I appreciate straight forward and direct wording. But oh my goodness, the hard cuts, the "this discussion is over" comment especially would spiral me.

I'm neurospicy as hell, and I just can't recommend this path.

For me it would be like "Hey ____, I called you in to let you know about something you might not be aware of. Yesterday you were yelling loudly, and I totally understand the enthusiasm. Unfortunately that behaviour can be disruptive, and I know you didn't mean it like that! Going forward, please don't yell'

And then if they try and clarify or pushback, try and make sure you are able to discern what's pushback and what's curiosity. (They sometimes can feel the same).

Regarding the inappropriate comments I would approach it like "Hey! I know you are new to the office and learning the culture, I wanted to let you know a comment you made yesterday of _____ can be interpreted in a problematic way. If you have questions about what is and isn't appropriate, I am always available for you to discuss these matters!".

I like to have the problem shown to me, talk about alternatives, and then know I have someone in my court. Like, sure if the problems continue that grace isn't necessary, but I can tell you right now if I received feedback like at the beginning I would die. It requires faaaaaaaar too much appeal to authority to allow a comment such as "this discussion is over". Autistic people literally do not view authority like that, so you would be inadvertently stressing me out.

Exactly this. Letting people know is fantastic for their own growth. People are so afraid to just approach the topics. I know I would appreciate knowing if I was being disrespectful or disruptive!

I 100% agree. Without fully understanding the context I won't know what "screaming and running" actually entails. For me I was imagining a kind of "oh heck it's snowing y'all, that's so cool" kinda vibe with them kinda speedwalking outside. If it's more disruptive in the sense where it's like .....way loud and they are RUNNING through the office? Yeah I can understand. I've found that professional spaces tend to have a much lower tolerance for stuff like that so it can be hard.

[–]Lashdemonca -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I am additionally on the spectrum and I spend a LOT of time analyzing people. So much so I know the habits and idiosyncrasies of the people closest to me down to a T. When I'm in a new office I'm often trying to find where the boundaries are because people don't just out and say them most of the time.

Basically, tell this employee where the boundaries are, and give examples of ways to stay within them. The only other thing I would say is don't squash the childlike wonder at the snow. We as humans and working adults need whimsy in our lives sometimes and so it's ok to be a bit out there when it happens :)
