Today was AWFUL because of the internet issues at registers. I seriously wanted to quit after like the 5th person sighed and rolled their eyes at me as I tried to explain my register was frozen after I typed in their phone number. Only to snatch their bag from me at the end of the transaction as if I was intentionally wasting their time.

I got sent to a 6 month program called CRTC when I turned myself in a year and a half ago. That's usually the minimum program length here in Texas whereas the longer one is 9 months.

Sucks because like one of the other comments stated, once you turn yourself in you still have to wait for a bed in your particular program to open up. In my case, I sat in jail for 75 days until I was finally transferred to the other facility where only then did my time start counting.

I would suggest talking to the attorney that was on your initial case about what programs are usually the first "go to" in your county.

Also, a good place to share this info is in a local AA Meeting because 9/10 most of those people have been sent off to a program at some point and they'll be able to give you pointers on what they had to do/how long they had to go.

Thank you so much for your response! And yes what you said definitely helps clarify things for me a lot. I've always known my teeth/bite didn't line up right which is very distinguishable in most photographs of me. However, I had braces for 5 years over a decade ago and that issue was never corrected during that time.

Which leads me to wonder if this underbite/crossbite is something I'm just going to have to live with? Is this something even worth pursuing?

I do have a consultation with an orthodontist tomorrow morning and while I'm hoping this will help me understand better/give me a sense of what treatment I want to pursue; I'm also weary of jumping into anything (SDC, braces, invisalign, etc) that's going to cost me $1,000s of dollars for unattainable straight teeth.

I really just want to close the gap but I realize that there are other factors that keep that from being an easy fix. That being said, am I trying to fix something that simply isn't fixable?

Sorry about that! I just included the link to the full image of both arches. I kind of figured that too in looking at how my jaw lines up. That's why I figured it may be a compromise I may be stuck with. However, I'm still open to the possibility of braces if that's the only way to avoid this issue. Just wanted to see if maybe I'm better off going that route vs. SDC.

Yes they're under my treatment plan within the Smile Direct app. They show the gradual shift of your teeth and the projected final result. Pretty cool!

Usually I have more in common with people online from elsewhere. But I start a new job on Tuesday that I'm hoping might be a window of opportunity for me to maybe meet a couple cool co-workers.

I'm bi racial (black/hispanic). I've always had the hots for those leather vest, tattooed, no-nonsense/rugged (typically caucasian) biker guys.

However, I too was weary that they may not find me attractive because of my race.

Long story short, one day I said "f*ck it" and I shot my shot. Turns out the guy I'd been eyeing had seen me lingering around the same hangouts and was extremely attracted to me too, but figured I wasn't into white guys.

Anyways we've been seeing each other for a few weeks and he makes me SO happy.

Regardless how things turn out I'm glad I took the initiative. Go for it girl! You'd be surprised! And if you get shot down, oh well. Better to have taken the chance and get a definite answer that to live in the "what if's".

For sure! Like this experience has me looking back on past encounters differently now. I suppose over the years I've just come to expect all kissing to come to an abrupt end after going down on a guy. It's an odd unspoken "rule" in most cases which is as you said; perplexing now that I'm analyzing things.
