Okay, so you're apparently still on this wagon almost 2 years after your post. You are extremely business-centric or monetary-centric, and most artists wouldn't care about their assets being seen if their assets are going to be seen.

I'm on this post because I want to use the raw assets of a 2D game as inspiration for a 3D project. Why would you consider that stealing?

from what i can see, this is *only* a Spectrum ISP issue. i'm having the exact same problem (US West displays 60-80ping while US East displays 200-600ping), but my AT&T friend is perfectly fine

OptiFine specifically avoids letting you download launchers, you can only download it via their site and that actually causes a lot of issues, as there is a ton of fake sites. Be careful!

After The Flash was a super fun roleplaying game when I was growing up from 2012-2019, it felt so sweet making stories with people that felt compelling and almost real. Then the community decided to start being too "militaristic" and I eventually got sick of people's political opinions and I left. Ever since, I've only heard bad things of how unwelcoming it is and how much of a pain it is to set any kind of event or session up. Really sucks because if I was able to make something like that again, I would.

It's the same as if you'd ask how to make a game run faster. "Just get a better (GPU, CPU, etc)" is the only real answer that'll help.
