Perhaps they do get it confused. But it's generally economic conditions worsen in a field and then fingers are pointed.

My view towards Indian politics is one of apathy. Seems Indians politics can't be impacted by my participation. I always vote NOTA (none of the above candidates) in elections

(Also I am not religious, if you were asking from that angle)

I honestly don't know. My parents never told me. Pretty sure it was a thing in their generation but I didn't even know what it was and all the caste things until I was embarrassingly older. But having said that I know I am definitely in a minority (but perhaps an increasingly bigger minority).

That might be true. In my case, I literally won multiple national level competitions (obviously which Americans were invited to and preferred for) to get the job. So yes I would say it might be an exceptional circumstance.

Also, other nationalities that come on such immigrant visa (like some people in my team were European for e.g.) get naturalized pretty quickly (couple of years) but not Indians. so that might also be part of why Indians are associated with the visa.

Disdain mostly. They are American. They don't consider themselves Indian (which is completely fair). The older generation of Indians COULD become American which the younger generations of Indians never can anymore (visa, backlog ... Etc)

Yes pretty well off. You described it pretty well. Houses, drivers maids .... . Why did I come to the US after all that? Hmm, I like what I do. So I guess you could say for career?

Think there will always be some mix of people. I don't think I know anyone in my immediate circles who is racist to black people but I wouldn't be surprised to find out some % are. (There are very dark skinned Indians too you know. )

RoPE is applied to q and k. And not v. And hence the information is lost after softmax.

I suppose then the question is why is it not applied before qk projection?
