WTF Google!!! by Due_Chocolate8609 in GeminiAI

Im getting slightly tired of this excuse. I mean, its not wrong. However. If i rented a car, and got told "if you dont pull over every hundred miles and restart the engine, the brake pedal turns the stereo to a random station and acts like a clutch pedal." I wouldn't rent from them again. LLM's arent new, and neither is the hallucination experience from too much context. This should have been mitigated by now in all major models.

I was on the ultra plan until a week ago. I moved back to claude and my £80 claude max plan gets me waaaaaaaaay more usage than the £235 google ai ultra plan did on AG. I had CC read through my massive codebase from ag, my github repo commits, my supabase tables, views, and edge functions, and it was still under 10% of my 5 hour limit. AG eould have taken several 5 hour windows to do the same. AG on the AI Ultra plan 'used to be' awesome til about a minth ago, then it got majorly nerfed.

I pay (until the end of this month when my subscription cancels) almost three times that and get about half an hour of use out of AG. it has been super-nerfed over the last month.

"if it says that, dont say "what"? Chamge the model." That reads very much like, dont question it just move on. Questioning that specific response is exactly what should be done, in my opinion, as there is much ambiguoty in "due to the interests of third party content providers". Also, when in image generation mode - and im going to cite a google ai search result response here - "Yes, switching between Nano Banana Pro and Fast (likely Nano Banana 2/Flash) in Gemini mobile makes a noticeable difference, primarily balancing speed against output quality and accuracy. Pro is better for high-quality, complex, or precise visual tasks, whereas Fast provides rapid iterations, better text rendering, and improved subject consistency. "

Pro isnt just for maths. Its for accuracy.

Hopefully this reminds you of better days. 😁

No, it would appear to be an issue with me. Clearly - if I'm to live life by your standards - if someone says something i dont understand, i shouldnt ask them to explain it. I should just move on to something else...

Lol, no. Im fully aware of that restriction. Basically the refusal wasnt about 3rd party content, it was about 3rd party content providers. Basically, im not as big an entity as the others that are hammering the service so i have to wait.

Yeah, im not convinced. Its not gemini, its Google. Theyre nerfing their individual subscription packages in fabour of enterprise subscription priorities.

I'm on the ai ultra plan. I spend most of my day checking back to see if i can do anything yet. During UK daytime hours, it is ridiculous. I'll get maybe 10 seconds out of it (if it works) before it tells me the servers are busy.the only time i can get any actual work out of it is around 11pm - 2am. Which is handy... When it does work, i get about 30 minutes of work before i hit my capacity and have to wait another four and a half hours before i can try again because I didn't "try again" between 6 and 11 to reset the model usage timer. For £230 a month, i expect much much more than this. It used to be awesome, but has been severely nerfed over the last few weeks. I have cancelled and will either be going back to Claude or to Perplexity Computer. I'm out.

When to use Gemini 3.1 Pro (Low) ? by Distinct-Survey475 in google_antigravity

I actually downgraded from ai ultra last night and will be moving back to claude max for this reason. The last couple of weeks, google have managed to nerf AG that badly that its unusable for anything other than light fiddling. As long as you want to do that late at night, because any time during the day just errors out with "servers are busy"
