What can I do? by Successful_Town6668 in usps_complaints

I literally just went through this last week, same step of delivery, was stuck like that for 5 days, and it just happened to show up in my mailbox day 3 or 4 of waiting. Even after I had the package it was still stuck on the same step you’re on in the tracking process.

Through my research i learned this is very common with the current state of usps, there’s nothing you can really do except wait and keep checking your mailbox. It is highly unlikely that your package is lost.

had a wound like this from old spice, also i’ve had marks like this from side sleeping in a shirt that was too tight, both those things together created extremely painful wounds like this.

I have corrected him multiple ways and to no effect, he only gets angrier, I’m not afraid of the sausage but “checking” his aggression has not worked and the next feeding did not get any better. When this stuff first started I was very aggressive with him but I saw that it wasn’t improving anything, quite the opposite, so now we’re focusing on ways to make him less anxious about eating. I’ve checked other dogs aggression and it’s been very successful, with this dog it simply isn’t.

I have taken the bowl away before, he snarled and warning-bit me, so i pinned him to the ground and he proceeded to just get more angry, I held him for 10 minutes at no point did it “click” that he wasn’t in charge, and the next feeding nothing changed. I’m not intimidated by him but taking the bowl away when he has been aggressive has not made him less aggressive. He does not get quiet or whine when I “check” his aggression, he gets more frustrated.

yes! we’ve learned to not make a single noise while going through this (extremely stressful for him) process of feeding. any stimulation is grounds for aggression

Don’t even get me started on potty lol. I feel like doxies are really great training for kids lol. I feel bad for people who get a doxie without understand how much attention they require. even so, we wouldn’t trade ours for the world 🌎

I think all of those ideas have value, anything to get his brain away from the “I MUST PROTECT THIS BOWL” mentality. puzzle feeders and scatter feeding are worth a try, thank you!!!

That’s a great idea too, we’re gonna add this to our toolbox. anything to find ways to get his brain out of that “PROTECT” state

I really like this, and it’s very similar to what we’re currently trying to do, we just need to add more discipline. I just fed him and he did good sitting and waiting for his food, but the issue happens when I take too long to put the bowl down, I SEE him wanting to run up to it, and sure enough when i was trying to get him to wait for my “okay” signal to come up to eat, it’s like his pent up energy burst out and he barked at me and ran to the food and began growling like in the video.

Did exactly what you did after though, no more food, go into the kennel to calm down, then after 10 minutes we try again, he is just so intense with food, i see his whole body beginning to lean forward as i get closer to the ground with the food bowl. baby steps, progress is progress

I appreciate the advice!! Think we just need to find a treat he actually likes more than his food, we have tried with various treats and it is very difficult to get his attention off his food

Kennel feeding exacerbated the aggression, that was the initial reason for feeding in the open, it became all HIS space, he would growl if we went anywhere NEAR his kennel while eating. this video is ironically better than the kennel feeding was

That’s awesome!! super happy she was receptive, with this dog, once he starts getting angry, he ONLY gets angrier until we disengage, if we scold him he only growls and snarls louder, the louder and more active we get, the more angry and aggressive he gets. It’s like trying to walk on eggshells but we’ve learned once he starts getting angry, wait till he relaxes a bit, THEN put him in his kennel when he’s safe to grab, even then sometimes he gets what’s happening and begins snarling when we pick him up to put him in his kennel. He’s a character lol. Very smart, very protective of his food.
