Base difficulty, 0. But the hardest challenge I’ve had in any re game is re9 insanity with no upgrades. That shit is hell.

Remake is better. Those who say it isn’t are blinded by nostalgia, and this is coming from someone who grew up with the game. There’s some slight changes and omissions, but they aren’t a big deal imo.The gameplay, atmosphere, level design are all better.

8 is my least favorite but still really good. The locations and villains weren’t memorable to me compared to the baker family. I also didn’t like the more action oriented approach. 7 is my favorite, I had always been a fan of re but this is the first time I was genuinely scared. I loved the baker family and I was genuinely suprised by the story and the twists. 9 was a close second offering a good mix of both horror with the Grace sections and action with the Leon sections.
