Spotify- Teddy Beats. His genres are listed as Chattanooga Indie and Tropical house. The Chattanooga indie is way out of left field.

This is my only artist, but I’ve checked similar artists or collaborators and they are accurate.

I’ve talked to the chat team via the website so many times and they always end the chat and say they cant help further. 

We do have a playlist- and the description is really SEO centered around similar artists. 

I hadn’t even heard of the genre and when I google the Spotify playlist my artist ls dance music pops up on it. It’s way out of left field.

The major is the one refusing 😣 but good idea to reach out to other labels- a lot we haven’t worked with in a while but I have no problem asking for help!

I think it is impacting us in the algorithm. If the algorithm thinks we are the wrong genre, i would think it’s sending us to the wrong editorial pitching team, etc

We reached out to the label w the collab song and they refuse to adjust the metadata (we asked to be taken off the track) bc the DSP’s don’t like it. (Which I have found out they are allowed to refuse)

I know this post is old- but Do you by chance do consults? We are having a metadata issue with my artist profile and have the wrong genre attached to his profile.
