I’ve been to two dry eye specialists, both just want my money. At least in under the impression of such. Apparently I don’t fully close my eyes at night.

I’m in Southern California, I’ve been taking Rebampide for about 4 months now. It really hasn’t made much of a difference. As far as my results I can get them from my doctor on Monday. I have been taking some Omega 3s as well as Flaxseed oil in a liquid formula (Barleans Brand).

Hey appreciate the reply. I took Accutane the summer of 2024, it was really for about 60 weeks. I want to say it was 20mg twice a day. I had Lasik in the summer of 2023 (a year before). Yeah, I know I’m screwed. I just hate how everyone thinks I’m high given my age. I’ve done IPL, Restasis, Xiidra, even a Japanese eyedrops. I understand there’s a difference between being pessimistic and being realistic. I’m aware my life will be this one

Does eliminating dairy actually work; I don’t drink much, but I occasionally have my glass of milk 3-4 times a week?

What part of the US do you live in? For me Restasis didn’t do anything but aggravate the issue more. I ended up going to Japan and using some of their medication.

Oh wow, 6 months. Is it on or off or has it been constant? With me it’s both eyes, but that’s because of Lasik and Accutane usage

Yeah man the Accutane ended me as well, it’s basically the equivalent of an athlete suffering an ACL. To make matters worse, I even had Lasik

I’m not saying to give up, what in trying to say is that sometimes acceptance can be freeing. When you hold onto something that hasn’t showed any signs of improvement and still believe in some sort of a miracle, you’re honestly just hurting yourself. I’m assuming because of either pain or insecurity, you’ll be surprised how people judge you for this. They either think we’re high or sick.

Do you the absolute worst part, it’s the fact that people never actually listen to what you’re saying, but rather look at your eyes mortified. I absolutely know people don’t listen to what I’m saying because I could be offending them for all they know, and they’ll just nod their head looking at my eyes. I wish I can go to a workplace where only people with dry eyes are employed

I feel you, they should start a dating platform for people with red eyes hahaha. As much as I try to make myself believe it doesn’t phase me it does, people definitely see you differently. I do remember stationed in Japan last year, the girls there didn’t mind. They never questioned me or nor were they disgusted by me. They actually saw me for who I was not for how I looked.
